I wonder if Judy's ear is glittery?

Gawd, no one will have a chance against the Chinese volleyball team if it is made up of any of those performers who were working beneath those boxes last night...... .. . ain't nobody with more precision, subtlety, jaw-dropping nano-second timing....... .. .

Boy, could I have used one of those guys when we were trying to flag a cab in NYC!

Oh . . . and the knee . . . I think I'm doing pretty good. Got major kudos from the doc and PT at my appts on Thursday. Sometimes it feels great and then a couple of hours later much much worse . . . comes and goes . . . have to keep an glittery eye on the swelling.

I'm pretty sure you need a foot detox pad, oh wait, wrong thread :P

Glitter would certainly help the swelling, and setting a pyramid on your knee (anyone remember that healing fad from the 70's?)

Now, was I just a dolt? Did everyone else know from the very beginning that there were li'l people under those things?:huh:

You weren't the only one! Mark and I were incredulous! :o:D

Gawd yes....my SIL was really into that.

Mom got me a bunny! :) He is so adorable! Boomer is his name.

My son had a bunnie once and he litter-trained it.

:brown-noserface:

Brown-nose

Take your hand with fingers together and thumb across palm [letter B] and brush fingers forward twice against side if nose. ;)

What did the hamburger name his daughter?

:rolleyes::lol::lol:

Happy Birthday, Anamanamanduh!!!!!!......See.......you don't have to feel left out! :P

One more sign........very fitting...

Olympics

Make the OK sign with both hands (thumb and index together, all other fingers up) and interlock them so they look like links on a chain......now let go and twist hands, link back together....repeat.

First day back to work wore me out....slept a lot......missed opening ceremony.

Yours truly,

hamburger's daughter :D

Glitter....pyramids on our bodies....the 70's.......

Uh, wasn't that one of those movies that was on late, late, late at night? <_<

First day back to work wore me out....slept a lot......missed opening ceremony.

How was your first day back, Lisa?

curlyfries Contributor
...can't we all just get along?!?!?!?

I warned you about those neighbors not playing nice! <_<

Ah Lisa,

I envy you! I loved working in the school, although it was exhausting the first week or so after summer vacation. ;)

I imagine when I start interpreting next week, I'll be a wreck at first

How was your first day back, Lisa?

Morning spent in an auditorium listening to administrators talk......:fingertwisingatsideofnose:.......out for lunch.......afternoon at school meeting people, getting tour of building, taking notes on signs I will need to look up...........................not that bad, but my days are used to being broken up with occassional visits to Sillyville :P

Really? What does that mean? . . . The bunny can apply glitter eye-shadow to itself??

Hmmmmm . . . tempting to throw that out into the "real" forum just to see what they do with it.

Oh, that is terrific.....

You guys have to root for our Ian Miller - - he's the 62 year-old equestrian rider. This is his ninth Olympics. C'MON, GRAMPA!!!!!!:lol:

Now THAT is cool. I used to dressage when I was in my teens and I gotta tell ya. I'm It's not as easy as I it looks :P

<--------- See new avatar. I wanted to be an Olympic equestrian (still do!)

Don' forget . . . glittery eye-shadow to distract or throw light into the competition's eyes!!

Picked em up with some paper towel -- no way were those things going back on me face till I could take them home and wash em properly. (squinchedupewwwface)

Gosh Bev....this is concerning. We'll hope it turns out to be nuthin serious.

Are you taking oral meds still? Maybe some sort of reaction?

... . ...I'll just say this, because our Canadian commentator mentioned it and I'm SO GLAD that he did: when you see things moving, look carefully for the person controlling it - - may not be obvious, but those incredible people are there.....

*ONLY* because of this, and the side-view shot ~1/2 way thru, I noticed some footsies under the characters, but STILL didn't believe people could be doing that so perfectly precise for a few minutes.

Heard someone today say they practiced 8+ hrs/day for 4 mos and last night was the 1st time w/ no errors. :o

<oh come on!!> <_<

Y'know, that's the bottom line with any therapy, conventional or not. There is no 'one size heals all' and who's to say that your particular chemistry isn't such that you can detox with foot pads.

I think it's unlikely that non-conventional therapies work for most people, but just as a few people get no benefit from standard treatments, there's gotta be a few people that get benefit from non-standard treatment.

<I only object to the people that say 'because it worked for me, it must work for everyone'>

Jestgar Rising Star

And Darnit! Do your PT!! That DOES help most people.

Thanks toots- I'm not on any abx yet. Could have been a bad arse glutening :( Weird.

Check this out. The horse/rider (Mark Todd and Gandalf from NZ) that I love are famous for another reason!

So weird!!!!!!!

You know that unbelievable grid with the hundreds of moving squares that went like a wave, then spirals, then Chinese characters, all incredibly timed and flowing? Of course we know NOW that each of those squares had a person under it, moving it up and down with staggering precision, as they all burst up and began waving at the very end. Well, I thought at first that the squares were being moved by a computer somewhere....it never occurred to me that people could actually do this, so precisely. During the performance, our announcer mentioned that it was individual people under each square, kneeling, crouching, then standing and crashing back down at the exact moments needed.

Now, was I just a dolt? Did everyone else know from the very beginning that there were li'l people under those things?

That was amazing!

I didn't know until the very end when they flashed the camera closer and to the ground, then you could see thousands of little feet underneath.

well, WHEN is the replay on here? Becasue.....last night, we went to this pub, got caught up with some......interesting characters, and I was not home until past 9. I was staring at the TV screens, though, and saw the MOST fascinating precision in the events.........

MUST see it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am MAD at self!

WHAT?!?!?!?!?

She who never misses an opening ceremony, she who reminded us of the opening ceremony coming up, MISSED IT?!?!?!?

Did you at least leave the tv on for the Weeze?

You guys have to root for our Ian Miller - - he's the 62 year-old equestrian rider. This is his ninth Olympics. C'MON, GRAMPA!!!!!!

I love the story about your flag-bearer....the Sudanese refugee. What a beautiful face, smiling into the crowd, and what a horrific childhood.... . .now he stands to win a gold medal. Those are the real stories of the Olympics.......

I love the story behind our flag bearer too, heart warming  A 62 year old equestrian rider? How fabulous!!!! I will keep an eye out. Don't forget the 41 year old swimmer Dara Torres.

THis is what I love about the Olympics, all the personal stories behind all the athletes, from all the countries. So many have really overcome great odds.

Another moment last night I just loved was the little boy walking out with that basketball player (phorgot his name....) who was carrying China's flag, the little boy being one of the survivors of the earthquake.

Don' forget . . . glittery eye-shadow to distract or throw light into the competition's eyes!!

Glad your knee is doing ok :)

Thanks, @trents. That was what I was thinking of as well, but I'm a huge worrier and keep doubting if it was right thing to do so it seemed better to ask more experienced people. My diet won't be 100% gluten free unfortunately, but I'm thinking of using it as an opportunity to keep a food log and try to see what makes things worse.

Her Dr gave her meds for the ulcers and recommend the genetic blood test to rule out celiac. Got those results and the hla-dq2 is positive the hla-dq8 is negative. So I’m not sure what this all means. Waiting to hear from the Dr again. She has been eating gluten and did say she got bad stomach pain again the other day but it hasn’t happened in a few weeks so I’m not sure if it’s from gluten or the ulcers.

I have been on supplementation for almost 11 months with no deficiencies showing up on blood work. So was just hoping to hear someone else’s story where it took longer to heal.

Here’s the answer from the company 😊   Hi Emily,    Thank you for reaching out to us! We can confirm the Organic Protein + 50 Superfoods Powder is gluten free. The organic barley and wheatgrasses we use are harvested prior to jointing, before the grain forms and any gluten protein is present. Rest assured appropriate measures are taken to ensure our gluten free products comply with the FDA final rule to be labeled as gluten free, as claimed on the side-panel label. Our suppliers are required to verify each ingredient and in order to ensure that our gluten free products comply with the FDA requirements, our manufacturing facilities use the ELISA test method to confirm gluten levels are less than the standard limit of <20 ppm.    If you have allergy concerns about consuming the grasses, we recommend consulting further with your healthcare provider. I hope this information helps! Please let us know if you have other questions.
