Nikki! That supper sounds incroyable!! Mygawd.. . . we only eat like that when there is something extremely special taking place. . . . . . . ...Christmas, big birthday .. ..and The Ripper's return from camp simply does NOT cut it. . . . . ...

Had a lay-in today as my gym class is cancelled until this eve.....it's lunchtime and I've only just got dressed

WooooHOOOOO I'm the first post of the morning!!

I NEVER get to be the first one :D

Yesterday, when I went for my walk, I thought I'd walk a little farther so I went one more street section before turning downhill (ruralesque here, street sections are 1/2 mile).

As it turns out, the streets are named a bit inconsistently (old territorial roads) and I got lost. I ended up at this beautiful little cove and walked along the edge of the water. Roosters off in the distance. The trickle of water down the hill, finish its journey to the sea. The smallest slap of waves as the last of the ocean's power dissipated against the shore.

I'm gonna try to find it again this morning.

I need better directions PLEASE!

Bacon? Patteigh? Any left? can I come? Amanda, bring Silvia- she is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More time than NONE?!! ROFL! In my case more time baking wouldn't be long!

Beans and rice are cheap. :)

But Carla- I figured you baked cookies in a French maid outfit   Clearly NOT a 50's wife!!!!!!

Thanks for the reminder. Easy to get caught up in things that, in the long run, are unimportant. Really, the only thing that matters is the people who touch our lives

I'm glad at least one of us dope-slapped the rest of us with this reminder!!!!!! Thanks Em :)

Sounds heavenly (uhm...has anyone told you you're a talented writer too?). wait for me or I can just meet you there!!!!!!!!!

Welcome back!

Found my way back down to Adam's cove. Unfortunately there was enough light this time to see the 'private property' signs, but I decided not to hold their selfishness against them. AND Fortune is with us! There's a Open Original Shared Link for sale there! "Manda, Are you willing to relocate? The housing market is down here, I'm sure they'd take a lower offer.

After making the loop, I found the street I was looking for yesterday and started down that. After a few yards there was an enticing side street that I marched up a bit until the view opened and I saw this funky little Open Original Shared Link.

I marched down to the spit and went a little ways out, but the sun was coming up so I slipped through the fence into Open Original Shared Link to watch the sunrise. Turned out to not be such a clever plan 'cause your staring directly into the sun, but I hung out on the beach for a bit and burned out my retinas before starting the (oh so) long walk back home,

WOW! Now that is somewhere I could relocate. Jim used to fly into Seattle a lot and sometimes I could hop a ride. It's a wonderful place.

This ship is about to enter our harbor today. The Elizabeth ll was to be here yesterday, but the recent nor'easter blew all the water out of Manteo Harbor and it could not leave.

I can see her in the distance in full sail. She's beautiful.

There's even an unofficial "Yeti Lane" that I walk by.

Jack has returned. He is a soggy, exhausted, dirty-feet-and moldy-smelling eleven-year old boy with incredible sleeping-bag head and mud all over his wellies.

Must toss him upside the bathtub, then allow his clothes to walk themselves into the washer. . . . ..... . .

And he came back with three odd socks! One, perhaps I can understand....but three? I asked him if they were making sock puppets er sumphin'. . . .. . ...

Lisa, what a spectacular ship! These boats excite me so. . . . ....

Erica!!! Welcome back!!! Get busy - - you've got 500 pages to peruse!

The positive Anti-deamidated Gliadin IgA result (12 U/ml) suggests possible celiac disease, but it is not definitive on its own, as this marker can also be elevated in other conditions or even in non-coeliac gluten sensitivity (NCGS). Do you know if they also ran a tTg-Iga test? This is the definitive test for celiac disease. The absence of classical symptoms like significant bloating or pain upon gluten reintroduction, along with your history of IBS and sensitivity to legumes, complicates the picture (legumes can be cross-contaminated with wheat). While celiac disease remains a possibility, other conditions like NCGS, leaky gut, or additional food intolerances could also explain your symptoms. A biopsy would provide more conclusive evidence for celiac disease, but for that you need to be eating lots of gluten daily in the weeks leading up to the endoscopy. In the meantime, adopting a gluten-free diet and supporting gut health with supplements (e.g., probiotics, L-glutamine) may help reduce inflammation and symptoms, but it’s important to consult a healthcare professional to tailor your approach and rule out other underlying issues. This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease. One test that always needs to be done is the IgA Levels/Deficiency Test (often called "Total IGA") because some people are naturally IGA deficient, and if this is the case, then certain blood tests for celiac disease might be false-negative, and other types of tests need to be done to make an accurate diagnosis. The article includes the "Mayo Clinic Protocol," which is the best overall protocol for results to be ~98% accurate.

You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/

I don’t think it matters much, there’s another type of cordyceps but I’m not sure if there’s a lot of difference, the one I’m using is cordyceps sinensis from maesyffin in wales, sinensis is the one with a long history of medicinal use in china. I think the alcohol (vodka) in the tincture helps with uptake vs taking capsules. And yes, changing my diet helped but it’s almost impossible to maintain as I can’t eat any lectins or sugar which is almost everything. Low lectin is about the best to hope for, they’re in everything. I can eat teff, millet, hemp seeds, blueberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, yogurt, cheese, walnuts, pistachios, macadamia, Brazil nuts, broccoli, sweet potato, carrots, beetroot, olives, rocket, onions, garlic, avocado, kale, mushrooms, chlorella/spirulina, and fish. That’s about it. I keep quail and make their food myself because lectins get into the commercial pellet fed chickens eggs. It took me years of adding one thing at a time with three weeks of pain every time I got it wrong to figure this out but there’s a finger prick blood test available now that will tell you which foods are triggering your autoimmune system, they test for 200+ different proteins and measure igg and ige antibodies. Good luck, I hope the mushrooms help but best to address the cause of the problem I think and have the igg and ige antibody test. The test won’t work if you’re already taking the mushrooms.
