I remembered it, and googled it. Was actually quite surprised to find it.

For some reason, I ADORED that clip on SS when I was younger. We used to sing the song all the time. I've always loved llamas (I have no idea why). Just do.

(I swear I am not the llama lady)

OK!!!!!.....................I've done some research.

The first sighting I can find of Llama Lady is during Emily's reign

I thought there was one before June 13, but couldn't find it.

I know LL appeared after I did, which was May 10, I believe.

Here are a couple of posts with vital info.......

Besides this, we know that LL loves Monty Python and Oprah, doesn't own a llama but would like to, and lives in a place in the US that has llamas everywhere......(once commented that he/she lives in Llama Land USA).

I did the grunge work, the rest of you can put the pieces togeher

Edit: Forgot one more thing. During one of LL's absences, he/she had been in New York.

I've got it! Llama Lady is this Australian TV personality named Megan......but I don't know her last name (yet). She has about 300 + videos on youtube under the name jewelchic, and she's a jewelry designer! :wub:

I looked on the Llama Breeders Directory and the only place advertising llamas for sale is in Cochranville, Pennsylvania........hmmmmm......... <_<

NO NO NO . . . I have decided it is NOT Jenny McCarthy but it is in fact, Jim Carrey pretending to BE Jenny McCarthy . . . he was Ace Ventura, Pet Detective, you know. I'm pretty sure that means he likes animals of all sorts (cats and llamas)!! Also, this would mean that he didn't watch any movies wif his husband!! (Once again, I'm ignoring the nonCeliac status and just going wif the gluten-free lifestyle . . . but that's my perogative :lol: )

and Susie . . . yer Aussie lady has been Celiac for 12 years . . . I think it's someone with a relatively new diagnosis.

No, she does not. . . . but this may be the MOST SIGNIFICANT clue yet - - subtle, but there.. . . . ..Van Gogh's Sunflowers is owned by The Yasuda Fire and Marine Insurance Company Ltd., out of Tokyo.

THIS is the llama lady!

During the setup for the piece on Sesame Street they wanted to make sure the little girl and the llama had a good rapport, so for 1 month they lived together, slept together, had breakfast cereal together (which, because of the underlying Celiac led to gastric discomfort which created this whole love/pain association that took years of therapy to get through).

Then, after they'd done the dental piece, *poof* llama gone forever leaving an aching void which she knew could only be filled by another llama. The years of llamalessness have only increased the need for dromedary companionship and so now she needs, not just one llama, but a whole herd to feel whole again.

We have to help her! If she doesn't get llamas soon I'm sure this deep rooted need will progress to alpacas and full grown camels! Where will she ever find an apartment that'll accept camels??

Psillies! Unite and psave this poor psoul!!

Jess, I totally agree with this line of thinking. . . . . that Sesame Street clip is, what, 25 years old? That would but her mid-thirties .. . . .about the age of Megan Aussielady. . .....

Actually, we never heard that young girl talk, nor were we given any real visual evidence as to where this piece of film was made. . . . ...could very well be Australian . . .. ....

A llamalessness :lol: existence. . . . .

      Thank you! Yes, I have celiac disease, lupus and Sjögrens. My ALT and AST have been chronically slightly elevated for a couple years and recently had an acute kidney injury (thinking it was from an antibiotic) with increased Lipase. So my primary doctor referred me to a kidney specialist. Other kidney labs are normal.

      My test results for TissueTransglutaminase IgA Antibody test came back normal. Like spot on normal. I do not have celiac! My problems are stemming from this H Pylori infection. I think I’ve had it for years. We’ll see if the doctor wants to do an endoscopy to see how extensive the damage is. Otherwise just a regimen of antibiotics will do the trick. The tha...

      Reaction to gluten or gastro bug?

      Thank you both so much for taking the time to reply. Cristiana - yes the rashes seemed to resolve when he came off gluten too. I haven’t seen those pictures before, thanks for pointing me to them. I’d say his rash isn’t like the more severe photos which are scabbed and very bumpy. His rash is more like lots and lots of patches of eczema than spots...

It is true that autoimmune disorders tend to cluster. But it sounds like you are getting medical attention and keeping an eye on things.

His rash is more like lots and lots of patches of eczema than spots. No we have no celiac in the family to my knowledge, though my mum and sister both have autoimmune diseases and wheat sensitivity. I think you’re right and I’ll have to do another trial to confirm if it was the wheat. I’ve been hoping all day that I come down with the bug to rule out the wheat reaction! But the rest of the family are absolutely fine.    Trents - thank you for the info regarding the genes. That’s very interesting and I’d definitely consider doing that as a way to rule it out without putting him back on wheat. I also didn’t know celiacs were commonly intolerant to dairy and soy. I think you’re right and there is definitely enough factors to show something is going on. I think I’ll do a repeat trial of the wheat challenge and if he reacts again I shall look into the genetic testing.    Thank you both so much for your time. Becky
