Why doesn't 11 go to 1 and 1 = 2?????? :wacko:

[OMG!!!!!! I typed that at 8:11 on 11/26/08 and the 2+6=8 so it's 11,8,8,8,11 and in cards an ace is like a 11 and a poker full house w/ 8s over aces is the .. ..<spooky organ crescendo> Dead Man's Hand!!!!!! .. ...

OMG - -

yesterday I had to google "dingo girl" and "celiac" all at once. Don't AXE me to 'splain that. :ph34r: except that, I think someone might be searching me online, using the name DingoGirl w/ Celiac. I am screwed. :lol:

So - I found this girl's website, she is a law school student called Dingo Girl and her husband is called Mr. Dingo. she is QUITE PHUNNY and...........she calls everyone A$$HAT.

And, BTW, in one of her many blogs, there are superimposed dingo-ish dog sin photos that LOOK EXACTLY LIKE STINKER. :o:wub:

This morning on GMA, they did a segment on Thanksgiving cooking. One question from "a viewer" was that her daughter has Celiac and she was wondering what would be the best thing to thicken her gravy with. Pretty cool, eh?? :P Love it when we hit the big time :D

So-o-o-o......

I'm puttering around the kitchen with the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia on TV in the background. I have to say I think we'd phit in well there--a giant balloon of Sam Hill floating high above whilst we Sillies in snowphlake sweaters, our pets in antlers phrolic below--waiving and cavorting. Wif confetti--lots of confetti :rolleyes:

We could all stay at Em's hotel--a phab happy hour to be had there!! :lol:

Maybe next year? :P

I've been doing so well. I vowed to use all my stash before getting more and so I've been madly knitting hats and oddly striped scarfs to use up the small pieces but yesterday...

Someone offered up 10 skeins of cotton on freecycle and I thought, it's only 10. And it's free, after all.

So I went to her house and she launched into this long frazzled story about how she decided to clean out her yarn stash on the same weekend that her mom's coming and Thanksgiving and blah blah blah and she hasn't yet had a chance to sort out the skeins I came for and did I just want her whole bag

      Although the gluten challenge guidelines suggest at least two weeks of at least 10g of gluten daily, I would go for 4 weeks to make sure - if you can tolerate it, that is. When you go in for the blood draw, make sure to ask your physician to order not only the tTG-IGA test but the total IGA test. The tTG-IGA test result cannot be trusted if you are IGA deficient. The total IGA test checks for IGA deficiency. Many physicians will order only the tTG-IGA. So, at the minimum, the doc should order the tTG-IGA and the total IGA. There are other celiac antibody tests that can also be ordered for a more comprehensive panel, especially in the case of IGA deficiency.  Here is an overview of celiac disease antibody testing:

      Thanks, @trents. That was what I was thinking of as well, but I'm a huge worrier and keep doubting if it was right thing to do so it seemed better to ask more experienced people. My diet won't be 100% gluten free unfortunately, but I'm thinking of using it as an opportunity to keep a food log and try to see what makes things worse.

      Her Dr gave her meds for the ulcers and recommend the genetic blood test to rule out celiac. Got those results and the hla-dq2 is positive the hla-dq8 is negative. So I’m not sure what this all means. Waiting to hear from the Dr again. She has been eating gluten and did say she got bad stomach pain again the other day but it hasn’t happened in a few weeks so I’m not sure if it’s from gluten or the ulcers.

      I have been on supplementation for almost 11 months with no deficiencies showing up on blood work. So was just hoping to hear someone else’s story where it took longer to heal.
