AGH! emoticonally busted

and now busted for TOO MANY QUOTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! will post in deux parts

mornin' sills B)

last night was me birfday celebration, six of us at a pub (NOT a cozy pub  ) and we had SUCH fun. My car, alas, is not here  I was driven home at the insistence of my friend, the cop. Probably a good thing.

working from home today, Shane has "personal business" and he did not tell me what it was - highly uncharacteristic. Waitin' to hear what's going on.....

I wonder how my sad, stinky Jeep did all by herself last night in that parking lot? Kidn of hoping she's gone when I get there

no happy SNAUX banter today Em! ha ha but it WOZ freezing last night (28 degrees) and had to cover me citrus and tropicals wif blankies and such.......

Hazel is Angus2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is the cutest thing ever......

Yes, I was surprised to read this, also......I never peel mine, either. . .. just cut the stalky end from each one. Soooozie, what do you do to make yours delish? Mine forever remain boring and barely tolerable to my kids. . . . ...

Well sillies, it's so simple. I just boil them until tender (careful not to overcook), cutting the larger ones in half. Then put butter and parmesan cheese, salt and cracked pepper. Quite tasty! The bacon sounds very good also and - am going to try the chicken bullion in the water. Leesuh - what kind of bullion do you use?

Sillies, I am so very tired. I think I might have a touch of the holiday dull drums, overwhelmed by too many things.....for one the Paella for Christmas Eve is a no-go. With our schedule of church and coming back and needing to eat right away it isn't the most practical of recipes, although I would LOVE to do it I really need something that can be made ahead and just warmed up. So back to the drawing board on the menu, and time is running out!!!

JULES!!!!!!!!!!!! must dispatch some Christmas cheer and energy to you TOOT SWEET!!!!! Yes, you need an easier meal idea.....crockpot IS a good plan.....so sorry about teh paella, is there any way you can have it all ready and assembled and just add things at the end? I don't even know......but I do think it's a long process..........

only thing I can offer is - I made THE MOST DELICIOUS garlic/herbed turkey breasts.....take tons of fresh chopped garlic, add herbs of your choosing, about a tablespoon of each.....butter/salt/pepper.......make this into a paste and stuff it under the skin of the turkey.......bake.........MOUTH-WATERING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

from giaknit: (lost the darned quote thingy - what in hell)

We do NOT need a picture of Arnie doing his bizness !!!!. . .. . or did you mean the bootie thang?? OK, yes, a pic of the bootie-thangs.

Yes silly, in the booties!!!!!!!!!!!

Smack with the phlughue? oh no.......phlughue-ids...............mind the fuzzy toilet covers!!!!!!!

Oom-pa-pa Oom-pa-pa

Weeding and mulching and warm summer showers

Birds in my back yard and gardens with flowers

Kittehs a-purring curled up on my knees

These are a few of my favorite things.

Gluten-free brownies and readable labels

Foods that are safe when I set at my table

Friends who come visit, the warm breath of spring

These are a few of my favorite things.

When I'm poopy, feeling droopy

When I'm down and sad

I try to remember my favorite things

Then I don't feel quite so bad

LOVE IT :) when the cobwebs clear from me head I'll work on some more.....our lyrics are a usually a bit less.......um........wholesome and more scatological

Definitely would have somethin' about tinsel-butted kittehs and vomit-free fuzzy toilet covers

You guys, watch out for that jester at this time of year. . . ....ya let him in yer house for some holiday cheer, some laughs, toe-bell jingling. . . ....... and look what can happen. This time it was just an upended Christmas tree. Next time - - I could look out and see him floating lifeless in me ho' tub. . . . ..

oh no    not a dead p!sstank jester in your ho' tub *SNORT*

part deux

Where have I been? Oh right, adopting kitteh for dad, company Christmas party at which I wanted to get fabulush with some margaritas (like a pepper-infused, watermelon puree one- we need a lick your lips emoticon) but could not, and the annual Christmas party at me in-laws yacht club (sounds MUCH fancier than it is). Santa arrives by lobster boat But me wee goonies came and I had so much fun with them. They are the luvs of me life (since I don't ever have to discipline them). I sang Christams carols and danced with me youngest niece Lucy who has the pinkest cheeks and bluest eyes and smiles constantly.

Just love this paragraph  Love yer goonies

Those girls dedicated obnoxious songs to me on Spacebook through some torture posting device.

bah ha hahaha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sooooziiieeeee!!!!!!!

If you really want to enjoy this winter wonderland, come to my house pronto and scrape the ice off me windshield! ;)

Such fun, I want to share

oh I don't think so......was MUCH more fun here.......no scraping, shoveling or blowing of snaux

Waitin' for my snow. Schools in the North are already closed (it's 5am), but I haven't seen a flake.

 they close the schools?

GAHHH!!!!!!!!

No boiler man - no new or repaired boiler as yet ...they keep changing their minds on what to do......latest is the landlord (my local council) will NOT pay for new

Carry on debating fellas ....meanwhile we freeze

However the electrician has been to check the works (new smoke alarms)......had to pull me dishwasher out to get to summat (a pipe?)....oh the shame!!!,...the cobwebs and dirt behind there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting for another man to check summat else

However the 2 other things I was waiting in for have ARRIVED

Life (for me) is a waiting game

Oh, and Boris can't stop vomiting *sigh* ...sicky cat!!

How's everyone ?? (now I've finished moaning )

I keep dodging the doll drums....... but I want to give in

 yer waitin is crackign me up!!!!!!! well no - maybe it's yer DESCRIPTION of waiting.......but - aren't you PHREEZING???????????? surely a simple ballcock can phix all of this.......

nice Christmas dinner for Alsy such a good mum

Mygawd. . . . ugly? And all they do is absorb the errant wee and dirt and hairs :gag: that permeate the toilet area . . . .... ....

*snort* I think I just gagged a little

The grandmother said, 'Thank you . That's wonderful! I was so worried! God bless you for the good news.' The operator replied, 'You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?' The grandmother said, 'No, I'm Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me sh!t.'

True Story..........I believe it happened in Seattle <snort>

I agree that Kitteh barf is much easier than large dog barf. I once had a huge Dobie-Lab mix. A wonderful cuddly love who thought he was one of the cats...but that's another story. Anyway, I had bought a beautiful ORIENTAL CARPET (you know where this is going, don't you?) that I was so proud of! the colors, slate blue and cream, were perfect for my dining room. I felt guilty about the exorbitant amount of money I paid for it.....but I did love it. Anyway, I wandered into the dining room early one morning...and OMG!!! Somehow the dog managed to cover at least 75% of the rug. Whatever he'd eaten (I had kids in the house at the time, so your guess is as good as mine) stained the rug orange! :o I used carpet cleaner, I used laundry soap, I paid a professional rug cleaner. After all of that I still had the faintest tinge of orange......which we learned to ignore .

oh dear.........the orange-tinged carpet........My Stinker, bless her, vomited ALL OVER a sisal rug.......had to throw it out........you cannot get bilious stains and smell out of sisal

OMG! :o the vegetable orchestra.......quite phascinating!!!! was it in Seattle?

elye Community Regular
they close the schools?

Not here, man. The tough Eastern Canuck chillens head out into the psnaoughbanks, waving li'l mittened hands as they disappear into the squall. . . . . . .

Nik NEEDS a ballcock!! It can, truly, fix anything. Soooozie, next time you have an infection in that back molar, you know what to buy.

:huh::lol:

OMG! the vegetable orchestra.......quite phascinating!!!! was it in Seattle?

 Yes! Do you think they peeled their sprouts before blowing into them? How about the parmesan .. ..... .. would this change the pitch a 'tall?

Sooze, I have tried this wif me sprouts.....butter, salt and pepper, various cheeses.....I just cannot get my kids to like them. Bah. It is such a healthy, relatively cheap food. . . . . .

Darn210 Enthusiast
Smack with the phlughue? oh no.......phlughue-ids...............mind the fuzzy toilet covers!!!!!!!

No, I don't think it twas the floo. He's got asthma "tendancies" . . . don't know how else to describe that. He doesn't usually have any issues unless he gets a bad cold (or the floo) and then when it settles in his chest, it's pretty miserable for him. He'll run a low grade fever and he'll get into coughing fits that will trigger his gag reflex and then he snows barfs. I think this is what happened. However, there is a stomach floo going around and there is always the possibility that he has some wee tinge of it (although, there is nothing else going on wif him to make me think that).

. . . and no fuzzy toilet covers here . . . small chillens and fuzzy covers don't go together . . . neither do men and fuzzy covers . . . or dogs that like to drink out of the toilet.

Alzey's faux xmas lunch went well :D

........tomorrow is carol singing which I have to go to

then youth club disco in the eve (nibbles and snacks required.....more cooking inevitable  )

Discovered this evening JUST how loud my new smoke alarms are (umm, left the burgers under the grill a tad too long  )...... and why do they fit these things right next to the kitchen????? <_<

....had to get the kids to open and 'fan' the front door to stop the blasted thing screaming..GAHHH!!!!

Gian-nitt!!! Children with easily triggered gag reflex.......... I gots 'em <_<

Me small orange cat is currently making ethereal, weird noises just before he's sick which translated I think means

'Muuuuum!!!!.... I feel siiiiiick'

Tereesah's orange rug!!!! <_<

Oh dear GAAAAAAWD......those toilet shag pile wee/pube absorbing things :o:o <are they called 'pedelstal' rugs???>

EW,UCK,UGH, VOMIIIIIITT!!!!!!!!

OMG! :o the vegetable orchestra.......quite phascinating!!!! was it in Seattle?

I know!!!!! :D Who knew they were such good percussion instruments!!

< & I don't care where they 'said' it was.......the original was in Seattle!!!!!!>

Sprouts....lop the end off, remove (peel) the top leaves ....bung in the steamer for a thousand yrs :P YUMMMMM!!!!!!!

I do tend to like all me veg done 'to death' with barely any nutritional value left

Crunchy veg = Ugh!!!

GADS ....I NEED a ballcock or summat!!!!!.....got some heat at the moment, but you can't have hot water AND heating (one or other)

SO the quandry is:

Stay clean but risk hypothermia

OR

Be smelly but warm

You could go to that website, the 365 gluten-free crockpot blog and find a recipe of hers. That lady is my hero. Then you could just put something in the crockpot earlier that day.

Good idea, thanks for the suggestion....my only problem is I am on such a restricted diet, most of those recipes use a lot of the things I can't have or easily sub. But I will take a look, might be sumpthin :)

OK Bubble gummers. This'll have to do until I figure the Face thing out:

Uh-oh What in the Sam Hill IS it about this time of year that viruses all seem to be at their peek????? Gawd!

Yer sprouts sound delish Patti.

So agree about the viruses and phloughs and such, sounds like it is really going around. Just read an article saying London has been hit hard by it.......turning away masses of vomiting peeps form the hospital because they are so overcrowded, is this true Nik??

The Ripper is rippin' through all the newly fallen psnaough as I speak...makin' up fer the shifts he missed while across the pond. . .. ...

Your sprouts sound yummy, I might try that. I usually do Ina Garten's recipe, she roasts them in the oven with tons of olive oil and salt til they come out brown and crispy and salty, like french fries. I can't have turkey anymore :( but I can maybe do that with chicken, sounds really good.

Still searching for a make-ahead casserole with all major food groups represented  ...and it has to be festive, is that too much to ask?? Geez! Paella would have been absolutely perfect, but many processes and demands 100% attention.

Yes, need some Christmas cheer here toot sweet!!!!!

I am in a huge pickle, the presents I got from my mom arrived and they won't work. SOOO, I am in a mad dash to find something today, tomorrow I believe is the last day they say you can order something and get it delivered by Christmas.

I had these for years, covered in scars from them. Not had any since I started taking reishi and cordyceps tincture, they’re immune modulators, I think that’s how they work. Most of my other symptoms have also disappeared, I take a treble dose if I get glutened and it’s almost an instant fix, 3 days of mild symptoms instead of 3 weeks of horrible. Might be worth a try, don’t be put off by the caterpillars, I think they’ve found a different way of growing them now.

Welcome to the forum, @LookingForAnswers101, I had similar experiences with boil outbreaks in the same areas.  Mine was caused by Candida Albicans and eating a diet too high in sugar and simple carbohydrates.   Candida is a yeast infection, so the antibacterial wash is not going to help.  I had to change my diet to a Paleo diet before it went away.  If I consume high levels of sugar or other simple carbohydrates (rice, corn, dairy, etc.), boils would occur at pressure points like the groin and back of the legs.  Your doctor might be able to prescribe an antifungal medication, but some of those antifungal medications destroy thiamine.  Thiamine is needed to keep fungal and bacterial infections in check.  I took Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine, but TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) will work, too.   Thiamine, and the other B vitamins, especially Niacin and Biotin, along with Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin D will help keep skin healthy.  Be sure to address these nutritional deficiencies that occur with Celiac! Ask your doctor to rule out autoimmune hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and Human Papilloma virus, too.   Hang in there!  You'll get over this rocky patch of the journey!  Best wishes! P. S.  Get checked for Type Two Diabetes as well.  Candida, type two diabetes and a high carbohydrate diet often go together.  A Paleo diet really helps me with my Type Two Diabetes and Candida overgrowth.

As I mentioned, gluten intolerance encompasses more than just those with celiac disease, and in the past was used more like the term "gluten sensitivity" is used today.
    • Scott Adams
By the way, have you been diagnosed with celiac disease, and if so, are you on a 100% gluten-free diet?
    • Ryangf
I haven’t had any noticeable reactions to salt so I will continue using it. I think I just freaked out when I realized this but it doesn’t cause me any discomfort- so thanks!
