Companies Can Legally Lie About Dairy Free?

Found this on the gfcfdiet.com website.

The FDA allows casein (a milk protein) to be used in foods that can legally be labeled "non-dairy".

Is that still true, or will that new bill passed fix this loophole?? Because, geez.. that's just STUPID!

Guess that's why today when I was at the health food store, found some pizza that was gluten and dairy free. I was happy! Check to see what was in it, to be safe, and it had caseinate!! That's DAIRY! Least they listed it, lol.

Bah.. it was a mean tease though.

the new law will require caseinate (and the like) to be labeled with a parenthetical milk statement.

@CeliacPsycho246, You might try cutting out dairy.  Some of us react to Casein, the protein in dairy, the same as to gluten.

Yep, the edit window times out very quickly. It's okay. I got a good laugh out of it.

I wrote that by mistake and there is no where I can edit this.

I hope you meant "pen pal" instead of "paypal".
