Thankyou so much for the encouragement. I truly appreciate the time you have taken to care about me!

Yesterday I had a better day. Even one good day is a blessing! Because of stomach upset I rarely take vitamins. But when I was visiting in the States I bought Garden of Life probiotic formula and digestive enzymes. But then I read they have Barleygrass and Oatgrass. Is that ok? I hate to waste them, but I`m nervous about taking them. And is there a good vitamin/mineral supplement that is easy on the stomach? also is it the lactose in dairy that causes the problems? Is lactose free milk ok to drink? Hey, guess what I found yesterday? Some Nature`s Path products! I found gluten free animal cookies and gorilla munch cereal! How fun is that? I don´t eat alot of sweets, but it`s nice to have in case of a craving. I couldn´t believe it when I saw them. That`s what I call heaven`s kisses. THey are the little things in life that make you smile and you know God is with you.

Thanks again to all!

Blessing, Kristen

Do you have someone you can give your Garden of Life products to? You can't take them ... at one point they were the "hidden" gluten in my life and once I eliminated them I started getting better.

I like Wild Oats brand vitamins because they're clearly labeled gluten free and dairy free (if they are gluten and dairy free).

Some of us are sensitive to the casein rather than the lactose. It all depends on what you have a problem with if the lactose free milk will bother you.

That barley grass was a problem for me. Technically, the grass part of the plant doesn't have gluten, only the grain. BUT, with harvesting and all there's always some seed that gets into the mix, so it's not pure grass. I should think that the same problem pertains to oat grass and wheat grass.

I can't tell you how many products I have given/thrown away as I learned more and more how to find hidden gluten. I use many Wild Oats brand supplements purely because of their labeling. They list all the things the product does not contain.

I thought that greens mixes with wheat and barley grass were ok, since there is no gluten in the grasses?? That is the info I have read. Could someone clarify??

Thank you. I already cut out dairy and eggs because I found out I was having a problem with them. To be honest I’m just getting worn out 😂

Hi Kitty, thank you for your e mail,  I have seen a nutritionist who seemed to be happy with the food diary I had been keeping and nothing was mentioned about extra vitamins, and I’m still using milk etc . The steroids seem to be working and everything is functioning as it should however,  the course of tablets finish at the end of February and I have an appointment with the consultant early April probably followed by another endoscopy, as far as I’m aware I have not been tested for vitamin B and will definitely discuss it with the doctor on my next visit.

It might be understandable to say "friends or family weeded me or you out of their lives". Some people are fearful of getting out of their comfortable known lives and having to make changes to accommodate another.   If they are too uncomfortable to walk a mile with me, I shake the dust off my feet and journey on.  They're just not ready to learn that lesson.  But you confidently keep going on your journey.  They can catch up later.

You might also be sensitive to other things while you are healing. Dairy, for example. It won't harm you from a celiac standpoint but is inflammatory and could be bothering you. Have you been keeping a food & symptom journal? Might be worth it for a week to see if you notice something you are eating prior to the times you feel your worst. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Someone recently recommended Superfoods for looking up recipes free of allergens or intolerances.  It's a web site but there's also an app.
