A bunch of my friends from college are getting together for christmas this year. where did they choose to eat? probably the worst place ever for a celiac...the spaghetti factory (louisville, ky). does anyone have any experience with this restaurant and what to order if you have?

hm, i have heard that the one out here in provo utah will serve tinkyada past if you let them know in advance. i believe you can only have the red sauce. i would give them a call, and see what they can do for you. see if you could bring over a bag of pasta for them to make you. :) good luck!

BE SURE at a place like that that they're willing to use a clean pot, collander, and utensils...

I eat at the Atlanta location BUT only when the head cook is there. I have to take my own pasta but he uses clean pan/spoons and the sauce and salad dressing I like are gluten free. You'd need to call ahead and figure out if your store knows how to feed you safely. Good luck!

Thank you for direction.  Eating out is a concern though we rarely do, but I'm prepared now.

This might be helpful to you at this point:

Thank you for the update.  So interesting to know how things are changing, when I was diagnosed I had very similar blood results but still had to have the endoscopy.  Glad you know where you stand.  As your father has celiac disease you probably already know a lot about it, but do contact us if we can help further.

But isn't it easier to just take a D3 supplement? Is the D light somehow a superior source? Links?

So the way it should be used is to take it before possible gluten exposure, so right before a meal at a restaurant take 1-2 capsules. Unfortunately taking it 1 hour or more after an exposure is too late.
