Silly question, are best foods or kraft mayo's safe to eat? they do not list gluten or wheat but have soybean oil in them? I really don't care about the healthy aspect of fat right now just the taste. I use it all the time for my chicken salads/potato salads. thanks

Kraft Mayo will always list gluten.

Hellman's and Dukes are also gluten free. Hellman's is my choice of flavor.

PS..now silly questions here! :)

MG,

You know there's two kinds of family's; Hellmans, and Miracle Whip. Our household has both kinds. I'm the Hellmans. I don't believe in holding it against them, the way they were raised, they don't know any better!

Best Foods makes Hellmans. Somewhere in the west it becomes Best Foods instead of Hellman's. So, yes, that one is safe. Let me just say, doing a happy dance. GRANTED, it's the most expensive one, but it's still cheaper than the organic specialty mayo I bought that tasted just awful! We are so glad that Hellman's is safe.

Does anyone know the dairy status of mayo?

I was at a party last nite and has some Duke's mayo with my bunless brat. I read the ingredients and saw no red flags. PLUS they had the summary of allergens at the end of the ingredients that i've come to fall in love with.

So, I assume that out of the big 8, it only containted EGGS and SOY, since those were the only two boldly listed.

HI, My daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac and I would like to make her some chicken soup (she's got he flu). I found all gluten free ingredients but I'm having trouble with the chicken. I purchased Purdue bone-in chicken thighs from BJ's Wholesale Club. Purdue says that they are gluten free but the BJ's website says no. It seems like skin-on chicken is not, but skinless is. Does this seem accurate? Thank you

They had other appies to choose from so all's well that ends well. The Costco scallops are excellent but 4 x the price. Thanks!

Hello there, it's been ages since I signed into this account. Wanted to see if there were other celiac patients that have gone through perimenopause/menopause and chose to take estrogen or wear an estrogen patch? I know all of our bodies are different but curious how it went or is going for you. Thanks so much.

I believe I've seen them at Costco still in the shells (in the frozen seafood area), which might be a safe way to go.

A dedicated rack is a great idea if everyone in the house understands and supports the idea, and just to clarify, I didn't recommend just wiping the rack down, but washing it well in soap and hot water.
