Hi! This information is very last minute........... I just found this information about the National Sensory Processing Disorder Conference. It will be held in Orlando, FL on February 23 and 24.[/color] Carol Stock Kranowitz is the Keynote Speaker; she's the author of The Out-of-Sync Child. The "course" descriptions sound great!! :)

My little guy has a primary Dx of Sensory Modulation Dysfunction so I was absolutely thrilled to find a conference exclusively dedicated to SPD. All of the other conferences that I've found discuss SPD in terms of the Spectrum or are intended for OT's/medical background. I know some of you have little ones with sensory difficulties so I just wanted to share this with you all.

Wow. If I lived in Florida... I'd so be there! =)

My "big guy" has a DX of SPD. He was in Occupational Therapy for several years and is about a billion times more able to handle "life situations" but still has the occasional and isolated incident, usually involving fireworks, tornado sirens, or flashing lights. *ugh*

I would LOVE to see Carol Kranowicz speak.

I am not taking anything except for the multivitamins that I purchased from the supermarket.

The critic acid and sodium citrate is corn unfortunately and they don’t have to label corn because it’s not part of the top 9 allergen and not mandatory 😭

Yaya, from the JAMA study you refer to: "Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity." No one on this forum is recommending  taking anywhere near that amount. We're talking about 5-10,000IU daily.

"Doses higher than the RDA are sometimes used to treat medical problems such as vitamin D deficiency, but these are given only under the care of a doctor for a specified time frame. Blood levels should be monitored while someone is taking high doses of vitamin D." Quoted from the Healthline article @Yaya linked above...
