Egg Beaters Or Liquid Egg Products

Can anyone tell me if Egg Beaters or any liquid egg products are gluten free? Would it be better to order an omelet made with Egg Beaters rather than a restaurant egg product?

Eggbeaters (and all their flavors) are gluten-free - I called a couple months ago after my MIL cooked some in one of my skillets.

I personally prefer Open Original Shared Link egg white product, as it's _just_ egg whites. No added anything. For some purposes, like meringues and other things that need egg whites beat until frothy, the additives in Egg Beaters mean that product won't work. I also just don't really like the texture of Egg Beaters.

As far as something like egg beaters or allwhites.. why they do not whip up... it isn't necessarily about what is added to them, it is about what is done to them. Pasteurized egg whites do not whip as well cuz the mild heating during the process partially denatures (or cooks) the protein. The proteins have been slightly reconfigured and won't form a stable foam as easily. Unpasteurized egg whites reach stiff peak stage in 1 to 3 minutes (depending on the whip) but pasteurized egg whites could take as long as 10 minutes and still not be as *good* as the unpasteurized whites.

I would suggest you ask your doctor to order a "total IGA" test to check for IGA deficiency.

I did a gluten challenge. I ate bread yesterday. I immediately felt horrid. Depressed, fearful, angry.  I also had the weirdest night terrors and "day terrors" (delusions). They were do awful, that I am still terrified. How do gluten impact your dreams?

Thanks so much for replying!  No I haven't been limiting gluten prior to this test, I didn't know the Dr even tested for it until I got my results. These were the only celiac related pathology that was tested for. I am seeing my Dr on Monday so hopefully she can shed some more light!

New here as well lots of things learning I’ve discovered lots of foods have sneaky gluten so be mindful how is it going?? I have issues when I do cocktails 🍸 I don’t know if it is gluten free or not but get horrible side effects and so many others ooh well we are all learning how to cope with this….

Thanks a lot! I will search that too. I also talked to another doctor and she assured me there is no gluten in this type of antibiotics. Anyway i started the administration of Augmentin on my girl this evening. I hope there will be no problems.
