Never Ending Yeast Infection

Man I had this slight itch that I thought was due to shaving and hair growth, but it just never went away, so I treated it with over the counter stuff just to be sure, and it went away for about a week and then it just comes back and it's so damn annoying. Now I read that people with low immunities and malnutrition (YA THAT'S ME with my B12 and Iron deficiency) have a harder time getting rid of yeast infections because their ammunities can't fight the yeast.

What in the heck is next. I'm trying to recover from this aweful disease and I just keep getting slammed with more crap. Does this stuff ever end?

Angie, I had that problem for a while, and the itch was driving me out of my mind. It turned out that I was allergic to my panty shields! Try switching brands, or try using cloth ones for a while. When I did that the problem went away.

I also tried over the counter medicated creams for yeast infections, with little success. So, it may not be that at all.

OMG I didn't even think of that. The itch got better when I was on my period last week and has persisted since I went back to the pantishields. You may have figured this out for me. I'm going to take the darn thing off right now. Thank you so much and I really hope that's the answer!!

Wow, it sure sounds like the pantishields are the problem. You might want to wait until the rash and itch is all cleared up before trying a different brand.

I just realized something else too. I pealed the pantiliner off and then thought OMG I bet the glue they use to stick those buggers on has gluten in it :o !! I had to go up and change my underwear too, just in case lol!! Maybe I should stay away from them all together, because the glue may even be what's causing a reaction. I hope this does it lol!!

The weird thing is that I had all the nerve damage symptoms before I went Gluten free and since then those symptoms have drastically improved. Even the info the GI specialist gave me on perniciaous anemia said that you should have B12 shots a couple times a day for the first part of it and then taper off to once a month. My B12 level was around 111 I can't remember the exact number but it was over 100 but under 120 and they told me the normal level was above 300. My GI specialist was shocked that my doctor didn't put me on B12 when he found out it was that low, but who knows lol!! The more I read up on B12 the more concerned I get. I've been in the exhaustion phase for years, but now it seems even worse then when I went gluten free, so it's killing me. I can't even get to the store to buy B12 suppliments because I just don't have the energy. I'm still working 50+ hours a week taking my 4 kids to all appointments and sporting events and doing all the housework, yardwork, and laundry UG!! I'm not sure I'm going to last much longer. I'm having unexplained side pains on a daily basis, and I'm very achy in the last couple of weeks. I'm wondering if it's because my B12 shot has worn off and I need more B12. I have a class tonight, so I guess I need to make myself get to the store afterwords and get some B12. All of this is just way too much to deal with

Take it easy! I was just prompting you for some clarification.  In the distillation process, the liquid is boiled and the vapor descends up a tube and condenses into another container as it cools. What people are saying is that the gluten molecules are too large and heavy to travel up with the vapor and so get left behind in the original liquid solution. Therefore, the condensate should be free of gluten, no matter if there was gluten in the original solution. The explanation contained in the second sentence I quoted from your post would not seem to square with the physics of the distillation process. Unless, that is, I misunderstood what you were trying to explain.

No they do not contradict each other. Just like frying oil can be cross contaminated even though the oil doesn't contain the luten protein. The same is the same for a distilled vinegar or spirit which originally came from a gluten source. Just because you don't understand, doesn't mean you can tell me that my sentences contradict each other. Do you have a PhD in biochemistry or friends that do and access to a lab?  If not, saying you don't understand is one thing anything else can be dangerous to others.

The reason that it triggers your dermatitis herpetiformis but not your celiac disease is because you aren't completely intolerant to gluten. The celiac and dermatitis herpetiformis genes are both on the same chronometer. Dermatitis herpetoformus reacts to gluten even if there's a small amount of cross contamination while celiac gene may be able to tolerate a some gluten or cross contamination. It just depends on the sensitivity of the gene.

@Mynx, you say, "The reason this is believed is because the gluten protein molecule is too big to pass through the distillation process. Unfortunately, the liquid ie vinegar is cross contaminated because the gluten protein had been in the liquid prior to distillation process." I guess I misunderstand what you are trying to say but the statements in those two sentences seem to contradict one another.

It isn't a conjecture. I have gotten glitened from having some distilled white vinegar as a test. When I talked to some of my scientists friends, they confirmed that for a mall percentage of people, distilled white vinegar is a problem. The cross contamination isn't from wheat glue in a cask. While yhe gluten protein is too large to pass through the distillation process, after the distillation process, the vinegar is still cross contaminated. Please don't dismiss or disregard the small group of people who are 100^ gluten intolerant by saying things are conjecture. Just because you haven't done thr research or aren't as sensitive to gluten doesn't mean that everyone is like you.
