I use probiotics. THe reaction to them is diffrent for each person. If you have alot of "bad" bacteria, the good bacteria "pushes" it out. So some people get diarreha ect from probiotics from that reason.

I get mine from the local pharmacy. I use Mason. They are gluten, soy, casien free and cost about 14 a bottle. They seem to be helping for me.

But the choice to use them is a personal one. The research as to wether they work or not is still up in the air.

My doctor gave us VSL #3 to use with my daughter. You can get it over the counter. I can't say that it really helped any and she refuses to take it so we dont worry about it. It comes as a powder and you mix it with any liquid.

Agreed. Dairy is just as bad as gluten for me.

Many probiotics start with growing the bacteria on a dairy substrate leaving traces of dairy in the probiotics.   Many Celiacs react to dairy in the same way as they react to gluten because certain protein chains in dairy resemble gluten protein chains.   @Wheatwacked ferments his own pickles.  Perhaps he can chime in.

Yes it happens if I eat yogurt to.

The AIP diet does have a vegetarian version.   Dr. Sarah Ballantyne developed the AIP diet for herself and her children, all Celiacs.  The AIP diet has been shown in scientific studies to promote intestinal healing.  You might visit her website.  https://www.thepaleomom.com/
