Nah, I'm thinking he's liking his cute sexy thing with the new makeup. :P

Exactly! Which is why I also bought two eyeshadow brushes at Sephora...big fluffy eyeshadow brushes. Oh, did I forget to mention the brushes I bought earlier. Sheesh, one would think I had a DH to justify stuff too. :P

Yes he is he told me i could order an sample kit whenever i want he said he loves this makeup on me and he knows it makes me happy so I can do what i want lol. ANd boy does he love the new me lmao

The eyshadow brushes work pefect for me, the problem i have is when it falls off my eyes then i have like 5 shades under my eyes and im trying to to rub it off without rubbing off everything else. im wondering if it would be best if i do my eyes first then my face. What does everyone else do.

Ughh i wish we had a makeup store here were i could buy brushes, anyone want to buy me some and mail them to me lmao. I will of course pay for it all lol

How does anybody get the eye shadows to show up with that thing?

Have you tried using a damp brush? I haven't tried that yet, but I used to do that with regular eyeshadow.

 Yeah, I fixed that by just ordering everything now.

Well, I have pretty much cornered the market on all the light shades, guess I need to move up a notch or 2 on the color chart and gather up those too lol.

LoL, my hubby is the same way, except he is getting very, very nervous. He keeps asking me if I am thinking of leaving him lol. And who is it I keep writing to on the internet. New makeup, new hairdo, sexier clothes, and happier mood. I can see where that would make him worry.

For the eye shadow dust that falls under the eyes, I saw a makeup video that said to put a heavy line of powder under the eyes (just dab in on, don't blend)- finishing dust or foundation - and then do the eye shadow and then brush off the powder and buff.

New Sephora Brushes =   So until the EM eyebuki brush ever gets in, these will do nicely...so much easier to blend and my eyes looked so very nice today! :) Autumn Afternoon all over the lid which was made MUCH nicer and easier with the big fluffy sephora brush, then Countryside at the lashline and up into the crease...Samba lessons as a liner.

Nothing new today except for a new shade of foundation. I think it matched pretty well...my face may have been darker than my neck, but I couldn't really tell, and I was wearing a turtleneck anyway, so it didn't matter. Otherwise the color was another great match: Beige-Medium Beige Neutral in matte.

Ughh i wish we had a makeup store here were i could buy brushes, anyone want to buy me some and mail them to me lmao. I will of course pay for it all lol

Well, I can post the link to the sephora brushes tomorrow, lol

I don't have a problem with the regular eye colors falling on my cheeks, but seem my response below, lol.

Yeah, I've heard this but haven't tried it yet. I use the fan brush to get the little flakes of eyeliner that used to fall on my cheeks, although I don't have as much problem with that as I did before. I'm putting my mascara on first, THEN my eyeliner...I think the mascara catches most of the flakes. :P The fan brush does a good job with the ocassional one or two flakes that still make it past.

Ok since i dont have plans today i decided to try the mojave as a blush, well i look like an cheap whore and i put very very little on the brush lol. then i was ok ill try the new blue color, omg that made me look more like an cheap whore lol. So needless to say i look terrible today and dotn have the time to change my makeup lmao. I tried to add colors over the different stuff and it didnt help,. my youngest girl even asked me if it was halloween lol

my youngest girl even asked me if it was halloween lol

 Yes, mojave is VERY pigmented, lol. The blues are the only new eye colors I have left to try...there they were just staring at me on my counter, but I just couldn't do it, lol. I may try next Saturday. Saturdays are my experimental days, because I generally don't HAVE to go out of the house.

SO for today, but finishing dust over it, lol.

OK, So I went out and HOLY CRAP EVERYONE was like 'you look amazing!" and yesterday my friend said "are you wearing make up? your skin looks great!" I LOVE this make up!!! It's easy too.

I used to work for Clinique. I heave learned that the more you spend on a bursh the better the quality and quality is key. Quality will apply better and have the shadow stick longer.

The eyshadow brushes work pefect for me, the problem i have is when it falls off my eyes then i have like 5 shades under my eyes and im trying to to rub it off without rubbing off everything else. im wondering if it would be best if i do my eyes first then my face. What does everyone else do.

As for this, you are putting too much on your brush. You should put the shadow on your brush and then tap off the excess. If you are wearing heavy just keep applying in layers. Applying in layers also gives it a better, cleaner and deeper look...more layered look. another fun thing to do is finger paint your eye shadows! Use your finger, it's fun and great for the smokey look!

I have found cleaning my brushes often really helps the application quality. You don't have to buy the "brush cleaner" (however I do just cause I spent SO MUCH $ on mine). You can use shampoo or baby soap (I have found those work the best).

oh DID I MENTION MY FACE HAS TOTALLY CLEARED!?!?!?!? 2 freaking days and my face is cleared already!!! HELLLLL YES!

I use a brush I got from Target that is supposed to be used for smudging. It's like a blush brush but for eye shadow. I also a lot of the time just use my finger. ;)

You may have too much on your brush. Make sure you're tapping the excess off. It shouldn't be too much of a problem then.

I do tap off the brush and i do use my finger and it still happens so who knows and i dont wear mascara to trap the excess cause i cant find one that doesnt make my eyes red and my eyelashes are black and so long that it really doesnt matter if i have mascara on or not lol.

Im going to shop online tommorow for some brushes, and order some more makeup, i need more foundation samples lol And im going to shop for some cute workout clothes lol.

I'm wearing In the Garden eye shadow today and I LOVE it! It's a nice smokey bronze that gives a subtle, exotic look when applied to the outer corners of the eyes.

I'm also wearing Email Me blush. I think I like this. It's similar to Tea Time and probably only works for very fair skin. It's nice for days when you want a little bit of natural, "no make-up casual Friday" type color.

dlp252 Apprentice

 got another compliment on my look, lol. Saturday my massage therapist and the receptionist (separately...they were not together, lol) mentioned my hair, and today someone mentioned my eyes...said they were natural and very soft. I'm wearing Good China, Ginger Peach and Gingerbread Man...so well blended that you can't see any difference in color, lol.

Oh, did I mention that I ordered my train case yesterday. ;)

These are the two brushes I got Saturday (I think, the one is called "all over shadow" and it's very large and the other is called a "blending" brush):

I've been trying to take a pic of my eyes to show you all GBB, but it just isn't working. I have mixed feelings about this one. I think it has the potential to be one of those colors that I don't know about at first, but then love later.

I think GBB sounds really nice. I can't wait to get my order! Mojave sounds like a lot of fun in moderation, too.

My DH is doing the same thing. He keeps asking "are you sure there's nobody else?" I think he's (mostly) kidding. I keep saying it's all for him, but what I really mean is that it's all for ME!!!

I love in the garden as a liner, but I haven't tried it as a shadow yet. Your description makes it sound heavenly!

I checked online just now, and my order is out with the delivery courier. So I will have lots of new colors to play with when I get home tonight. :D

Today I decided to try a lighter shade of foundation that I originally thought was too light for me. It's sandy fair, and it looks pretty good. I think it was my application "technique" in the begining that made it look too light. Then I buffed in pick me up pink concealer all over. I can't say it made a huge difference, but I think I look a little warmer. Then I put on Good China all over my eye, well being on the lid, net surfing on the corner of my eye and starry eyed as a liner. Not too shabby. I think I'm getting a cold (headache, scratchy throat, sniffles), so we'll see how much experimenting I am up to in the next few days. I am popping Cold-eeze like a junkie!

I am wondering since they are releasing GBB and Mojave on March 15th if that won't be the new special day.

About the brushes, I am SO glad I kept my Perscriptives brushes. I have 4 big fluffy eye color brushes, a flat top brush, and an all over face color (good for blush, bronzer, etc). Plus I have my Bare Minerals brushes, kabuki, blush, and concealer, I have pretty much everything I need for make-up application.

Worriedtodeath Enthusiast

My order came !!!!

Here's what I did

Fawn is out!!! DIdn't even try it but one look at it and I would like one of the undead IT's jsut way too light

So I went with the fairly light and I think it works. The bottom of my neck/chest may be much paler than my face right now but I swept some around there and it looked much better. I don't have a line or anything between my face and neck but a gradual getting lighter as you go down. Probably since I have been in turtle necks for the last few months and nothing but my face has seen the light. But overall, I thin it was a pretty good match. I swept some multitasking concealer in the right places and then used it afterwards as an all over. I won't do that tomorrow and see how it looks.

Eyes - brushed Good China all over and that matched my eye skin perfectly. THen put scented candles on the upper, in the garden as liner and then put some in the crease and cornor I also brushed on some oasis for the fun of it.

TOmorrow I am going to use good china, secneted candles and just oasis and I think that will be a fair natural match for a "no makeup" day

For blush MOjave Absolute wonderful color. Barley apply any and it is so just right.

I'll see if I get any strange looks at scouts tonight.

The eye shadows are great but not so sure about the foundation. I'm getting a cakey feeling like it is drying up on my face right across the cheeks. I've always used cramy liquid so maybe that makes a little difference? Does the different formulas act differently? I believe this is intensive formula.

Thanks

If Intensive is too cakey and drying you might want to try original glo. You can also try applying the foundation wet to see if that makes a difference.

So I think I love Ginger Peach and Ping Pong

Ginger Peach has the most gorgeous shiny sparkle and Ping Pong is a wonderful, pinkish shade. Tomorrow I think I'll try Mystic Night and Diary. :D

today i used smokey pink for the first time and it is nice even tho its not pink lol. I used in teh crease and to do list on top part of eye and on the bottom was pink pajamas and it was very pretty, no liner today tho cause i just got ready to exercise lmao. I might put some liner on before paretn teacher conferences this afternoon lol.

Im going to wait for new special to order. I am going to fill up my cart tommorow so im all ready to go when the new special comes up lol

Lots of fun with my new order that came yesterday! I haven't tried everything yet, but here's what I know so far:

Eyeshadows

Swing Set - a very light matte gray. I don't know if I will use this one much.

Pink Pajamas - fun baby pink. Can't wait to use this one

Scented Candles - really nice taupe

Baby Bath - exactly matches the color of my eyelids. I will be using this one a lot

Oasis - not nearly as yellow as it looks on the website. Can't wait to use this one

Baby Sitter - Yes, ladies, I bought blue eyeshadow. I haven't done that since 1983. But it is really nice and subtle, almost a grey when you put it on.

Mojave Camping - do not fear this one. I tried it as both a blush and an eyeshadow. If you don't put on too much it looks great. A nice russet red/brown. I put it on over baby bath and it looked good.

Glass Bottom Boat - a lovely, subtle pale aqua/green. I have it on today over baby bath with emerald as an eyeliner. It would be a perfect look for a casual Friday.

Birthday Cake - haven't tried it yet

Autumn Afternoon - haven't tried it yet

Spin Cycle - haven't tried it yet

Morocco - haven't tried it yet

Cherry Fizz - haven't tried it yet

Blushes

Photo Album and Cookie Sheet - very similar colors, but photo album is a bit darker. I like them both a lot. In the rose family, I think.

Lips

Gentle Lip Scrub - can someone tell me how to use this stuff? I tried it a few times last night, and just ended up with a mouth full of it.

Copper Lip Color - quite orange, but wearable. I don

Worriedtodeath Enthusiast

So today I did

Sunkissed fair which seems to work well even if it is a different color than the fairly light netural. I'm not sure if it is better or not than than fairly light. AFter a little while it looks very natural. Sunkissed just seemed a little beige and seemed a little grayish??? But now it looks normal

Osais in the corner, starry eyed as liner and on the phone as all over - very natural and a good match.

Tea time on the cheeks. pretty good match to the way I look

10 year old's response to my question did it look like I have makeup on------ He's a known tightwad, junk man and highly logical thinker - Why in the world would you use something and not have it show up? Hubby nearly fell out the chair laughing.

LOVE LOVE my zuzu mascara I found.

Brushed on mutlitasking at the end

Now lets talk lips What is everybody doing? I don't like lipstick because it is so heavy feeling so have never done anything for the poor little lips, now they need something!!!!

Will be doing an order when the special comes out!!!!!! I have a feeling, I will wind up with another eye sample kit and another makeup sample to try the different types of foundation.

Stacie

Hey everyone, did you notice a new product on the brushes page...buds, lol. They look like those little foam "q-tip" applicators that come with some cosmetics.

My adventure today was BLUE eyeshadow, lol. I'm wearing Car Pool. Wore Mystic Night as a liner. The other new thing is Olive-Olive Golden Medium in Intensive. I think it might be a bit dark. It looked really good when I first put it on, but it looks a little dark to me now. I don't think it really turned color as much as the different lighting.

Stacie, too funny about your son!!

Colleen, your order is TOOO fun!!

dlp252 Apprentice

Holy cow folks...are we over our love fest?! Not a single post yesterday!

Well, I'm excited because I SHOULD get my train case today, at least I hope so...it left the Fresno hub at 2 this morning, so it should be in the same city by now, lol.

AND, I tried Soft Touch blush again today...this is the one that was WAY too light for me, so light that it didn't even show up as color. It looks VERY good today. I'm wearing a lighter foundation shade (Beige Sandy Fair) and the blush shows up just perfectly. Honestly, the two times I tried it before it didn't show up AT ALL, just looked like someone hit me with flour on my cheeks. But today it's got a nice subtle rosy color.

Glad I'm not throwing anything away, lol. I'll keep trying the stuff I'm not wild about with different combinations.

I'm still having a hard time deciding which foundation I like best. I've got too many that look good and I'm also starting to get confused. Spreadsheets aren't helping much here. The one I'm wearing today might be a good choice though.

Did anyone notice that they added Ivory to the foundation colors. It's in the buff (I think) category.

Haven't checked there today to see what, if anything, is different.

confused Community Regular

Today i finally used my mixing bowls lol. i mixed multitaskign and medium tan and it was an perfect match, i look very good today if say so myself lmao, then on my eyes i mixed mojave and chamoile to tone it down some and it looks awesome to, so that is on bottom, oasis on top, sparkle on crease and samba as liner, for blush i mixed all smiles and snooze bar and it came out good to.

I ran into my godfather this morning and he was like omg you are looking good. I havent seen him in months so it was real good to hear that lol.

I am glad my makeup looks great cause so far i have been in 5 stores and have lots more places to go today and have to host an birthday party for my sons birthday at school today, it is one combines with his best friendd cause they have the same birthday but they work, so course im doing it. I have to get enough candy for 60 plus kids for an pinata, cause i decided to do it for the whole school lol what was i thinking today.

Welcome to the forum, @Debado, Migraines at night can be caused by high levels of histamine.  Histamine Intolerance can cause physical symptoms like migraines. Foods contain histamine.  Our bodies make histamine, an important neurotransmitter.  Our bodies naturally produce more histamine at night as part of our circadian rhythm, our sleep-wake cycles.   Some foods like gluten and nuts contain high histamine themselves or trigger our bodies to produce more histamine.  A low histamine diet is helpful, cutting out high histamine foods and histamine-release triggering foods.   Our bodies can breakdown a certain amount of histamine, but sometimes our bodies cannot keep up with the amount of histamine needing to be broken down, and can be overwhelmed by the amount of histamine resulting in Histamine Intolerance and health problems like migraines.   Vitamins C, B12, Pyridoxine B6 and thiamin B1 help lower histamine levels.  Our bodies use these vitamins to make an enzyme DOA (diamond oxidase) that breaks down histamine.  DAO from beef or pork kidney is an over-the-counter supplement that can be taken.   Riboflavin B2 is very helpful for relieving migraines.   Have you been diagnosed with Celiac Disease or suspect you have it?   Happy Holidays!

@ABP2025, Have you thought about having a DNA test to check for known Celiac genes?    I do hope you will make sure that you are getting sufficient gluten to provoke an autoimmune response strong enough that the antibodies can be measured in the blood.  See article below. Celiac disease affects the absorption of nutrients,  including vitamins and minerals.  Your symptoms may be associated with thiamine deficiency.   Migraines and peripheral neuropathy, phimosis (yes, even this), and white spots on the brain are seen in thiamine deficiency.  Celiac disease disrupts the absorption of all the essential nutrients, but thiamine can be quickly depleted, in as little as three days.  Thiamine deficiency can occur even if blood tests show normal levels.  Thiamine deficiency can affect antibody production.

Anybody ever heard of getting a migrane from gluten and coconut oil ONLY at night?   If I consume gluten or coconut oil, even in the morning,  I will get a migrane. But not until half way thru the night. I don't get this. Why at night? Why not right after I eat?
    • trents
Early on,  DQ2 and DQ8 were the primary genes that have been connected to the potential to develop celiac genes but more recent genetic research suggests there may be more.
