Thanks for the review of the new colors Paula and Donna.

Hmmm, that orange I am wondering if it would be best turned into a nail polish color, or a nice finger paint for the kids

Hi Amy,

The only brush I know of is the angled eye color brush that comes with the mini eye color kit. It sounds like its been the luck of the draw which one they send out, the nice fluffy exclusively EM eye color brush or a cheap plastic generic low quality brush.

The other brushes that were I remember being talked about are the kabukis (I think), but hopefully some of the other ladies will know.

I've been happy with ALL the brushes except for the one angled brush that broke, lol. The premium eye shadow brush is okay, just not fluffy enough for my tastes, so I bought some at Sephora. Other than that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the long handled kabuki, the flat top brush, the fan brush, even the angled brow brushes (not the one with the comb--that's the one that broke for me, but fortunately I had two and the other one is holding up great).

Today i think i have decided on my right foundation, i used buttered tan in semi-matte and it was perfect, I really love it, thank goodness since i got a big size sample of it lol. I then used my pink ribbon blush and it was perfect over foundation. But then i used summer silk dust and it made my face all dark, so needless to say i wont be using that without finding something to make it lighter, since i have an huge one of summer dust to.

For eyes i used ginger peach on bottom then oasis in crease then hot chocolate on top, it was very pretty.

For brushes i got the new long kabuki and i love it for foundation, then i got another new flat top brush for finishing dust. These are my favorite brushes. I didnt like my short kabuki i got months ago lol

I got my order today.

Omg the full size kits are huge, I have no room for anything in my train case now, not even an q-tip will fit. Once i feel better I have to organize my train kit lol.

I was mad tho i ordered some soap and it didnt come but on the paper it said they will refund me back my money, ughhhh.

Ok for the new colors

walkie talkie is so very pretty and pink

the other new color is pretty but a little too orangy for me, at least on my wrist it is, will have to see when it is on, but it is much prettier then all smiles blush, now that is orange lol

paula

LOL! About the full size kits. I haven't seen the biggies yet!

I wonder why they didn't ship your soap? Was on back ordered or being discontinued or just a mistake?

Walkie talkie sounds nice.

Have fun with your new order.

My brow brush also broke. I only used it once and it came unglued.

Glad you found a good foundation match. Your eye colors sound great. I love, love, love ginger peach!!!

I've been only wearing smokey eye liner, mascara, and blush. I've been such a dead beat, but it actually hasn't looked too horrible.

Found out why my energy has slipped - I'm extremely deficient in both my ferriton stores and vitamin D. I went to the health food store for liquid supplement of both today. Hope they work.\

One thing always leads to another, lol, I see another new train case in your future.

Sorry it took so long to answer! I'm trying NOT to get on my computer on weekends, and yesterday at work was just so busy I couldn't even breathe, lol. Anyway, the pain didn't last too long once I got on the meds. They say the earlier you get on them the better. I had waited until the last day of the 3-day window they recommend to go see my doctor. They say after that the nerve pain has a greater chance of lingering. How is for you now?

No problem. Unfortunately I had the pain for over a week before the rash started, so we didn't know it was shingles until I broke out. They tell me that is a bad sign. I started the valtrex Saturday, but not calming down the pain any. The doctor called in a prescription for Lidoderm patches yesterday, which I can wear at night. That did help me sleep last night.

Yes, that was the only one I had a problem with. I like the baby kabuki, concealer brush and flat top brush. I have the long handled kabuki in my current order.

Glad to hear that you are getting some answers. You might find out what your actual B12 level is. Mine was in the normal range, but so low normal that my doctor started treating me with B12 shots and that made a huge difference in the my fatigue.

They discontinued a couple of the soaps recently.

I'm glad you figured out the energy thing...hoping the supplements help! Vitamin D seemed to help me a lot.

I had broken out too I think...I'm really hoping the meds work for you.

I would imagine the iron supplementation will help with your fatigue levels Joni . I'm on a vit D supplement, I think I do notice a smidgen more of energy.

They discontinued my soap, but of course never let me know that lol. Im going to email them and see if I can just get an free sample kit, even tho im not sure what i need to order lol. Maybe to try the apple blush lol.

Ginger peach, pink pajams, oasis are my favorite eye shadows that is why i got the big sizes of those.

I think im set for makeup for now, unless i want to get an big thing of tinted silk dust since summer dust is too dark for an finishing. Maybe i can use it for an foundation when i get some tan on my face lol

Joni...if you want to PM me you can, but how low is your ferritin? And, WW mentioned B12 shots, I agree. I do them 2x a week.

Sorry for being off topic!

Paula, just thought I would mention if you didn't already know on the EM boards they have a swap and trade thread. You can trade in the colors you don't like/don't work for you with someone that has something you really want and use.

Yes, Kassandra is an excellent person to talk about the iron about.

 all topics lead to other topics, so that should make it on topic right?!?

My ferritin is 7. I will PM you because my doctore told me to start taking a multi vitamin! I know that isn't going to help much! D level is 19. I'll PM you the rest - Thanks Kassandra!

 all topics lead to other topics, so that should make it on topic right?!?

Nice to hear that you were able to sleep last night. Sleepless nights are miserable, especially when your in pain.

BTW, my GI just gave me a prescription for a B12 nasal spray. He says it works as well as the shots and I only have to use it once a week. I haven't filled the prescription yet. He said I can do which ever I want. I will try it when I feel a little better.

That sounds interesting. Easy to use and highly absorable. Good luck with it!

My B12 is actually on the upper middle of the scale. I am supplementing because it can't hurt, but I don't think it's a real problem.

Howdy everyone...been really busy at work so that cuts into my posting time...grrrr!

So, Summer Stroll...it's VERY orange in the jar, but I decided that before I mixed it with the Light Peach blush I should try it. When I got home yesterday, I tried just a little bit on my cheek, and it actually looked very nice...a LOT more subtle than I would have imagined, so this morning I was brave and actually wore it to work. It really is very subtle. Now, the main test will be whether or not it gets more orange as the day goes on, but for now it's a really nice color! Shock and awe, lol!

I'm so glad you are feeling better!!!

The B12 spray sounds great...I'm going to ask my doctor about them...I'm giving myself B12 shots (or supposed to be, lol), but I'm having a HARD time giving them to myself and it's such a hassle to go in to get the shots. I was doing sublingual B12, but my doctor thought that wasn't good enough so I'm on the shots.

Donna, I tried the orangy blush this morning to, and it is very very subtle, i kept adding layers hoping it would get somewhat dark lol. Then when i addded my finishing dust it got lighter then before lol. But it is very pretty, im glad we both decided to try it out lol

 That is shocking......and aweing (? ).... very hard to believe the bright orange would look "nice".

It goes back to not judging a color by the way it looks in the jar, you never know what it's going to look like on. I guess I should be brave and finally try out B & B, but I think with that the high pigmentation is more of an issue than its color.

Is there a new color, or did I miss something??

Did you guys check out the news, looks like it was posted just today:

I'd like to second supplementation.  Around the time of my diagnosis and for a good while afterwards I had twitching muscles, including my face, as well as pins and needles and numbness.  We do have tremors in my family anyway, regardless of being coeliac, so I can't really comment on that. If you can find out where you are with your iron levels and B12, that's a good start.  I am not sure where you are posting from but in the UK normal lab results for B12 are quite a bit lower than in other countries, so you might find if you are borderline you will get some improvement by continuing to supplement that.   I found taking magnesium also incredibly helpful against facial twitches. I don't know about you, but all these symptoms increased my anxiety levels as I was worried about them.  That only served to make the symptoms worse.  So it might be worth looking into addressing any underlying anxiety issues.   I still notice that if I'm nervous, or worried, my blood sugar levels are down, some of the symptoms comes back temporarily.  It's like there is still a bit of a weakness there.

Hello, @Itsabit, Your journey sounds very similar to mine.   I'm very concerned about your diet since you say you don't eat a lot of meat, which is the main source of B vitamins.  Nutritional deficiencies go along with Celiac Disease.  Blood tests are not accurate measurements of deficiency states.  The body robs stored vitamins from organs to circulate in the bloodstream to supply the brain and heart.  You can have deficiency symptoms before blood levels change. I have a hypersensitivity to sulfites, so much so that I had to switch my toothpaste to one that doesn't contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.  SLS can cause oral irritation as a side effect, too.   My mouth would burn and I avoided certain foods.  Dapsone contains sulfites, as do antibiotics.  Treatment with sulfites can precipitate a Thiamine deficiency disorder because sulfites cut thiamine in two making it useless. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35506963/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10506142/ I have an allergy to nickel, also.  Zinc helps keep other metals in balance in the body.  Zinc is also terribly important to skin health and oral health. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8445075/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11274920/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1977254/ Thiamine (Vitamin B 1) deficiency disorder symptoms and altered thiamine metabolism can occur after radiation or chemo.   Thiamine and Niacin B 3 are important in nerve conduction.  When I was very malnourished, I had paresthesia that made me feel itchy all over, and made my dermatitis herpetiformis extremely unbearable.  The form of Niacin that causes flushing, Nicotinic Acid (not the same as nicotine in cigarettes) is beneficial because the flushing helps open the small capillaries in the skin which allows the antibodies to be cleared and disposed.  Pellagra can occur in Celiac Disease.   I had it, and my doctor didn't properly diagnose it, either.   I had a rash around my neck, Casal's Necklace, along with a blistering rash on my arms and any skin exposed to the sun.   https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8445075/ https://cgp.iiarjournals.org/content/10/4/169 https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11722086/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6780714/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10229844/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1977254/ You should be checked for more than just B12 deficiency.  The eight B vitamins work together, and we need more of them when we're trying to heal.  They are water soluble, so the body can easily excrete them if not needed. Have you had your Vitamin D level checked?  Vitamin D regulates the immune system and lowers inflammation.   I hope you can find some benefit from my experiences.  Keep us posted on your progress.   P.S.  When trying not to itch the dermatitis herpetiformis, if you press gently on a large area (press with your whole hand) above the itchy spot, the itchiness goes away.  The bigger area of stimulation drowns out that one jangling dermatitis herpetiformis itchy nerve in the brain. For skin care products, I use tallow balm which is absorbed better into the skin than petroleum products or plant products.  Tallow balm (Vintage Traditions is my favorite) helps my Dermatitis Herpetiformis spots look and feel better quickly.  Tallow soap and olive oil soap is beneficial as well.

Hello, @Jack Common, I know how frustrating health mysteries can be. Perhaps you're having a reaction to the medication you were given for the giardiasis you mentioned in another post. The giardiasis infection would account for the high Igg results.  Have you been reinfected? The site I've linked below has lots of information about the long term consequences of being treated with a medication frequently prescribed for giardiasis infection.   https://hormonesmatter.com/metronidazole-toxicity-doctor-denial/ https://hormonesmatter.com/?s=metronidazole https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3870550/ Please let us know if your symptoms may be due to this reaction to the prescription for giardiasis. Best wishes.
