I did a google search and I do not think this Alexis is Martha's daughter.

Found another web site promoting this contest and it list this person as Alexis Radogost-Givens

and Givens was listed in the credits under her presentation on the video link.

I love our pets and want them well feed too.............but...............if we don't get well and are 'brain fogged' who will feed our precious little pets.

I have been voting on different polls at differnt sites............so hope it's not considered 'stuffing' by c.com

EDIT------- JUST CHECKED AND IT'S A TIE AT 37% PETS AND US. :D:D

Just as I thought! This Alexis is rather pretty and she looks very nice, rather than that "other one". ;)

Help, not at computer and on my blackberry the "vote" graphic is missing

Does anyone know if there a 'mobile' page?

At least I voted yesterday and will again tomorrow!

Aside- my cousin is celiac; a few yrs ago (before I realized I might be celiac) we went out in NYC for a special lunch (will look up name of restaurant later - it's in the bldg Mary Kate & Ashley bought in - 2 bldgs across side st from each other on west side highway, famous architect, Tribeca ish). Restaurant was great and celiac responsive. Not too busy - but at the big corner table was Martha Stuart and 6 or so others having a working lunch!

Hi Amanda

I just voted 10 times and it never kicked me off and i watched the voting count go up and it never said anything.......i just do a 'back' and vote again.

i don't feel bad about doing this.

It takes my time and i want THE MAGAZINE.

IF any of you haven't checked the video to watch the presentation or see the 'mock up cover' it's worth a look.

I think with all the votes this would be a no brainer move forward for her company

cruelshoes Enthusiast

Have any of you read the comments on Martha's blog? People are absolutely crying for the allergy/intollerance one to win. Most of the comments are about that one. I just voted a bunch more times. I am getting so much positive response from my family and friends that I have sent it out to as well. They are forwarding it on to lots of people.

Thats funny I was hitting the back button too...As long as we are in the lead :)

babysteps Contributor

Just voted, we are at 58%

they may have software so that multiple votes from the same computer on the same day don't get counted - but at any rate we're in the lead!

Green12 Enthusiast

Just put in my vote for the day, still at 58% but that's quite a lead over the Pet category :D

Hi guys! Can we eat them an can they cause villious atrophy? I saw multiple articles about it an they have very different opinions… so what did your doctor told you? Thanks!

I can't edit my posts, but I forgot to note as well: I also had low iron and vitamin d according to my blood tests, despite already taking supplements for each

Hi @Soleihey, it looks like you are making great progress.  This study indicates that a majority of celiacs don't recover until 5 years after diagnosis and starting a gluten-free diet: Mucosal recovery and mortality in adults with celiac disease after treatment with a gluten-free diet However, it's also possible that what the study really shows is the difficulty in maintaining a 100% gluten-free diet. I suspect that if you looked closely at the diets of those who did not recover within 2 years might be that their diets were not 100% gluten-free. Perhaps they ate out more often, or didn't understand all of the hidden ingredients where gluten can hide. Either way, it shows how difficult recovery from celiac disease can be for most people. According to this study:

I've had symptoms of celiac disease since May 2022 (joint pain, severe migraines, digestive troubles, tachycardia, and hypothyroidism, fatigue) and couldn't figure out what was wrong, especially because I had no access to a doctor. In August of last year I tried a gluten free diet out of desperation and found all my symptoms clearing up! Especially the more of my diet I realized contained gluten and eliminated from my diet. I've even been able to maintain full-But just a couple weeks ago I had to have my gallbladder removed in am emergency surgery, and afterwards the surgeon suggested that a lot of my issues could have been caused by my gallbladder not working properly, but I haven't heard anything about that before. Any ideas? I don't want to try to reintroduce gluten without being certain it won't bring back my issues. It's already troubling enough to know I might have to reintroduce it to my diet just to be tested.

I can also report from personally trying it that while not tasting quite as good as Spam, it is still very good especially compared to other Luncheon Loaf options that may not be gluten free
