Yes, and I would guess that most do.

The CBC doesn't check anything that measures the body's response to gliadin. The only way to know if you have Celiac is the bloodwork/biopsy.

CBC is just a complete blood count, good for anemia, infection, etc.. Counts white cells, red cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelets, MCV's (size of RBC's)-helps diagnose anemia, MCHC (calculation of hemoglobin in RBC's), and the RDW (variation in the size of the RBC's)--good for certain types of anemia.

IMO, Part 3 has some abnormalties that could indicate the early stages of celiac disease but the doctor is tentatively thinking not, at least at this point.

Can you supply a link? There's nothing to click on from tonight.

I just got the results from my upper endoscopy/biopsies. Would you be able to click on my recent post from tonight and let me know what you think? I really appreciate it. I want to make note that I do have Lymphocytic Colitis. Thanks for your time.

Yes, that's the one. IGA Quantitative. What is the reference range given for that one? If no reference range was given, is there another notation associated with it indicating it was either low or high or neither? If not, I would assume your score does not indicate IGA deficiency.
