gluten-free Products Making Me Sick?

I NEVER buy gluten-free products. This week I was craving lasagna. So when I went to the HF store to buy the noodles I splurged on some gluten-free items I was missing.... Glutano crackers and Keetoos cookies. Needless to say I have used the crackers for 2 meals and had some "oreos" and milk 2 times. I started to notice a headache first then left upper quad pain, gassiness (tons of burping :ph34r: ). I am not so sure of the correlation of time. headache THEN lasagna or vice versa.....I am miserable. I am going to be eatig a la natural the rest of the week. Has this ever happened to anyone? Could I be reacting to something in the products?

Thank you so much.....I am watching 5 kids today and all I want to do is curl up under a blanket and cry.....It helps to know there are others out there that understand. I am embarresed to tell my husband YET again I have tummy probs.....So glad I have this forumn.

      Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.

      It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.

      Well I’m going on the gluten farewell tour so they are about to find out lol. I keep saying biopsy but yeah it’s a scope and stuff. I’m a dummy but luckily my doctor is not.

      The biopsy for celiac disease is done of the small bowel lining and in conjunction with an "upper GI" scoping called an endoscopy. A colonoscopy scopes the lower end of the intestines and can't reach up high enough to get to the small bowel. The endoscopy goes through the mouth, through the stomach and into the duodenum, which is at the upper end of the intestinal track. So, while they are scoping the duodenum, they take biopsies of the mucosal lining of that area to send off for microscopic analysis by a lab. If the damage to the mucosa is substantial, the doc doing the scoping can often see it during the scoping.
