i think I must have been glutened, because I have been having extreme abdominal pain, accompanied by more abdominal pain. :( I can't figure out where the gluten was... Could frozen fruit contain gluten? How can I make this get out of my system faster? Are there foods that could soothe the pain? Pleaz help.

Argh Llama, sorry to hear it.

I don't think I've seen others say frozen fruit was a problem.

Some 'remedies' I've seen, both on other threads here & elsewhere, that may help recovery to some degree, are extra probiotics, slippery elm, papein, bromelein(sp?) ... . ummmm .. . I know there are a few more that I've forgotten.

Have you looked for other threads here?

I don't have experience w/ any of the above, btw.

Hope you're better soon. :)

:(

You aren't alone. Same deal for me. I hurt bad right now, and I'm just waiting for the DH to start.

I was stupid, and went to a supposed gluten free vegan restaurant. I should have known better when the guy at the counter didn't seem to sure of himself when telling me what was gluten free and what wasn't. I don't know where the gluten was, but I can feel it.

I am not taking anything except for the multivitamins that I purchased from the supermarket.

The critic acid and sodium citrate is corn unfortunately and they don’t have to label corn because it’s not part of the top 9 allergen and not mandatory 😭

Yaya, from the JAMA study you refer to: "Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity." No one on this forum is recommending  taking anywhere near that amount. We're talking about 5-10,000IU daily.

"Doses higher than the RDA are sometimes used to treat medical problems such as vitamin D deficiency, but these are given only under the care of a doctor for a specified time frame. Blood levels should be monitored while someone is taking high doses of vitamin D." Quoted from the Healthline article @Yaya linked above...
