Hi Chrissy!

I used to live in CoS, so I thought I'd see if I could help!

I did a search, and found this.

Looks like they have a gluten free dinner club, and regular monthly meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for Aug 9

Good luck!

Hey Chrissy,

I also live in the Colorado Springs area. I'm not part of a Celiac group here in the formal sense, but I educate churches with the subject. It's amazing how many people get diagnosed with Celiac and call me because they know someone who knows me.

If you are wanting you can contact me and get you going with it all. I can help with nutrition as well. I'm a holistic nutritionist and specialize in....Celiac, imagine that..

Hi Chrissy,

I too live in Colorado Springs. The Pikes Peak Chapter Celiac Sprue Association is a great way to meet other celiac's. Val is their group leader and very very friendly. They meet every two weeks I think. Tonight is the Gluten free dinner at the Warehouse restaurant on Cimaron. If you give them a call I bet you could get reservations. I post these on the calendar if you want to know the September club dining. I don't go to the meetings myself because I have family members with celiac and lots of support that way. I own two restaurants and am working with val to have a gluten-free dinner at the fine dining one but won't say more since it would promote business for myself, a no no on this board. So that is how I know her and she's a fantastic person. PM me anytime, I know all the Chef's in the Springs (the real one's anyway that make thier own food from scratch etc.) and can give you advice on where to dine that is not a chain etc.

Current "gluten challenge" recommendations are the daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten (about the amount found in 4-6 slices of wheat bread) daily leading up to the day of the biopsy.

Thank you for your input!  I would really like to know if I have celiac disease because you need make sure you are not getting any cross contamination due to cancer concerns.  I guess I need to start with a knowledgeable Gastroenterologist. Thank you again!

Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.

It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.
