Enviro Kidz Gluten Free Gorilla Crunch

I was so happy to find a cereal that was for kids, 1% of the money goes to wild life, only 3 ingredients that I could actually pronounce and that my son was not allergic to.

Well buyer beware this company also makes products that contain nuts and soy (my son is allergic to both). He popped 4 little pieces of cereal in his mouth and had an itchy throat, dizzy, breathing problems (needed inhaler), head ache and vomiting.

I am new to the allergies he has and wanted to warn anyone new to theirs or a loved ones to read every part of every product. My child is also allergic to peas.

Would you ever think that some companies use pea starch in sour cream? Blew my mind!

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for posting. I have been trying to find foods that are safe to have around my son who has Ige allergies to nuts and that are ok for my Celiac daughter. I was lucky that when I saw these at the store they had the one with nuts stocked right next to it so I didn't go there but I could have it I hadn't notice it. Did the lable say anything about being made on the same equipment or anything? If not I would call the company and complain. I might even call the FDA since your son did have a reaction to it.

I agree it is crazy where foods show up

Yes the box does say that it is made in a company with nuts and soy products. It was my mistake for overlooking. To be honest I was so happy to be able to offer my son a different cereal that I didn't even notice. It is difficult to find products that are not only wheat free but soy free as well. I need to also add that we have used a few products that are made in the same type of envioroment and have had no problem (won't use them again). For him to be as sick as he was from 4 pieces makes me belive their wasn't just residue but that nut or soy was actually a main ingredient. It was my fault that this child was so violently ill. He forgives me but I don't.

My son had a reaction to cross contaminated bakery bread that didn't have any nuts on the label. After that I did some research I found there are studies that say up to 10% I think it was of products that say either may contain or manufactured in a facility do contain the allergen although I think the study I read was limited to peanut. Not to meantion that bakeries are a huge source of cross contamination. It really is a huge learning curve.

Until your child has a reaction to such small amounts you really don't know just how vigilant you have to be. Try not to be hard on yourself.

He had another allergy attack. I had guests over and they ordered Chinese food. My son walked into the room took a deep breath (exaggerating how good it smelled) and had an asthma attack, itchy mouth, dizzy and then shortly later was vomiting.

He never even ate the food. The food was all removed from the house, windows were opened to remove the scent; he was in a separate room with the windows open for about an hour, said he felt better, went back into the dinning room and got sick all over again.

He never got this sick from scents but I don

Vegetable oil is usually soybean oil....at least that is what I have read on all the vegetable oil containers that I have seen.

After reading your post I did a little google and you were right. I guess we found out why the scent of Chinese food got him sick. I no longer use vegtable oil anyway but It is another item I need to look for on labeling. We use canola or olive oil. The link below talks about the process of makeing vegtable oil, the use of a chemical callled hexane, I wonder if the same process is used for all the oil. I will have to start to google again. Thank you

Everything I had was included in the cruise fare. The coffee at cafe al baico is not but,  ALL baked goods are! If you want a coffee, latte, or espresso the charge is $4 to $5. Not bad for some excellent coffee! The buffet and spa cafe has free coffee and drinks. Also large selection of the best ice cream, sorbet, and gelato at sea for free!  with Celebrity I don’t feel like I have a handicap.

I love that there's wheat all over the wall paper for the gluten-free section. It looks good. Was the café included in the free meals or was that extra?

The best gluten-free pizza is on the Celebrity Summit, but the Celebrity Beyond Pizza still beats and land gluten-free pizza.
