What can I take to the party that I can eat? (gluten-free, dairy free, soy free) other than tortilla chips and guac?

Thanks

Lori

How about vegetables? Carrot sticks, celery, broccoli, etc... Hummus makes a nice GFCFSF dip. :P At parties I find that the healthy/vegetarian stuff disappears really fast. Orange wedges would be nice. Pomegranates are in season and look SO beautiful cracked open. You could use them as part of an edible centerpiece. Small bunches of grapes are yummy too.

I bought a mixed sweet pepper salsa(from Whole Foods)and some crabmeat(the real stuff) and mixed them together and brought it to a party. It was the first thing gone! You could buy or make a tropical/mango/pineapple salsa and do the same. Or a ceviche with cooked fresh or canned crab meat. A little pricey for the crab but it's a special occasion and a little goes a long way in this kind of thing.

Agreed. Dairy is just as bad as gluten for me.

Many probiotics start with growing the bacteria on a dairy substrate leaving traces of dairy in the probiotics.   Many Celiacs react to dairy in the same way as they react to gluten because certain protein chains in dairy resemble gluten protein chains.   @Wheatwacked ferments his own pickles.  Perhaps he can chime in.

Yes it happens if I eat yogurt to.

The AIP diet does have a vegetarian version.   Dr. Sarah Ballantyne developed the AIP diet for herself and her children, all Celiacs.  The AIP diet has been shown in scientific studies to promote intestinal healing.  You might visit her website.  https://www.thepaleomom.com/
