I've arranged to have Emeril prepare for all of us the ultimate dinner on Tues nite. to celebrate the inauguration. Who wants in?

What a nice thing to do. I would love to join you but since I am half the country away that just won't be possible. What is being served?

OOO, I'd love to. Thank you for extending the offer! I'll need a private jet to get me there and a hotel room with a deep jaccuzzi! (I miss Japanese tubs SO much. Maybe more than gluteny goodies. Our American tubs(at least the older ones, which is what I've always had) are so shallow and even a petite woman like me can't stretch out and end up with a stiff neck! I've given up baths-don't worry, not bathing! ) As for the menu, dairy-free and some miracle sugar-free low-carb desserts please. Haven't had a dessert or baked good other than a few slices of bread and a few crackers for nearly 3 months! I'll bet Emeril can make some good seafood! After moving away from California I miss Meyer lemons too! I supose an all American menu featuring regional dishes would be in order for such an occasion.

Woohoo! Even better. :o I don't know what I'd wear! I was thinking that I'd have to appeal to Stacy and Clinton from TLC's What Not To Wear for advice on how to shop when you can't fit into adult size clothing anymore-even petites- and don't want to shop in the teens section and end up looking like a teenager. I could live with looking 27 again but I'll pass on 17.

Well Ka-pow! Or what that thing is he says! It's about time he cooked me something...!

First though things I don't want.

No dead raw fish, and no dead raw cows, and no dead raw anything except veggies thanks.

Hmmm, no gluten, no dairy, no soy, no yeast of course.

Nothing made in a factory by machines with chemical squirting guns and nozzles.

OK, something to eat though. How about a great big steak well done and baked potato with olive oil and salt and pepper on it. And some Waldorfen salad. Maybe some popcorn balls. And a big butterscotch pie with mile high lemon meringue baked on top like my mother used to make. Even If I can't eat it I wouldn't mind looking at one on the table.

Of course since it's an inaugural ball all the waitresses will wear white shirts and black Tux tails with their neon red hot pants. My kitty kat Muffinn will not be left out of course. She will need fresh salmon and some Whiskas Temptation kitty treats and some Safeway brand Priority kitty treats in all the various flavors, served on the floor thank-you!

This is a great idea, that Emeril feller should cook us dinner more often eh? Ka-Pow!

We need some ideas for ice sculptures to decorate the hall also.:)

Thanks Missy'smom! BAM it is!

Oh well, but no BAM today! Looks like the inaugration speech is going on and the food hasn't arrived yet. Guess 'ol Emeril got tied up with other things this year. These things happen I guess. Next inauguration we should probably get our orders in a little sooner eh?

I am not taking anything except for the multivitamins that I purchased from the supermarket.

The critic acid and sodium citrate is corn unfortunately and they don’t have to label corn because it’s not part of the top 9 allergen and not mandatory 😭

Yaya, from the JAMA study you refer to: "Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity." No one on this forum is recommending  taking anywhere near that amount. We're talking about 5-10,000IU daily.

"Doses higher than the RDA are sometimes used to treat medical problems such as vitamin D deficiency, but these are given only under the care of a doctor for a specified time frame. Blood levels should be monitored while someone is taking high doses of vitamin D." Quoted from the Healthline article @Yaya linked above...
