Getting "glutened" - What Happens To You Guys When You Accidently Eat Gluten?

I was just wondering, what happens to you guys when you accidentally consume gluten?

I know for me, I get bloated, irritable, and have very loose BMs usually an hour or two after accidental consumption.

I tested negative for celiac, had biopsy and blood tests. So it took a while for me to figure out that gluten was the problem. Now I'm just trying to figure out if there's a difference in symptoms between gluten intolerance and celiac disease.

Also, wouldn't gluten intolerance show up on some of the blood tests? I had tTG and IgA done.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thank you.

The symptoms are similar with Celiac and gluten intolerance. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but really the only difference in the two are villi damage. With Celiac you have it, with intolerance you don't. In my personal experience, my symptoms are much less severe when I accidentally consume gluten. I have been totally gluten free for about 7 months. Before the diet I would get terrible stomach pains and diarrhea. Now I get mainly muscle aches, headache and fatigue.

I'm not sure about gluten intolerance showing up on bloodtests. I have been wondering that myself. Wouldn't any antibody response mean your body is reacting to gluten? I never understood how a low number means negative. I would think ANY number means trouble. Can someone explain this?

I doubt very much that it contains any gluten. It works by producing an artificial blood clot, mixing 2 or more proteins found in the natural blood clotting cascade. These are refined from human blood donations. It comes in 2 vials that are mixed immediately before use and clot quickly.

Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread per day:
