How much risk do all of you feel with malt flavoring in Corn Flakes & Rice Krispies, I talk with some celiac's and they eat both of them, we all have different intolerence levels, I wish that they would label the milligram content of gluten in products, then we would know about staying below certain levels of gluten content.

Any advise, a new celiac, Doug

I don't think you'll find any Celiacs here who eat regular Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies. You will however find that many of us still refer to what we eat by their gluten names. So you may see a post for something like rice krispie treats, but what we really mean is gluten free treats made from a product like Erewhon Crispy Brown Rice. Same for "corn flakes." There are gluten free versions of these as well.

The malt in both of those mainstream products makes them NOT gluten free.

Try Rice Chex - they took the malt out of it.

Products with barley malt are not suitable for those with Celiac to consume, regardless of presence or absence of symptoms.
