The 2009 GIG conference is in Seattle this year the first weekend in June. As of today you can now register online at the link above. You can also click on a link on the registration page to see the class schedule.

There are 2 tracks -beginning and advanced. There is also a track for medical professionals and one for teens. The planning committee has been working hard on this since August. I hope you will see some topics and speakers that are of interest to you.

May be pricey for some. Are there day-of volunteer opportunities in exchange for admission?

And thanks! I'll pass the info on to my local yahoo group.

I haven't heard about a scenario like this, but I will ask. Our next planning meeting is on the 28th. :) There are some scholarships available. There should be information on how to apply on the website.

Hi Colleen,

Is it too late to sign up to be an exhibitor? Where would I find information on this?

Thanks! Looking forward to it :)

It's not too late. PM me your contact information (email address, company name and/or website, etc). I can make sure an exhibitor packet gets out to you. I'm on the exhibitor committee too. :)

I am not taking anything except for the multivitamins that I purchased from the supermarket.

The critic acid and sodium citrate is corn unfortunately and they don’t have to label corn because it’s not part of the top 9 allergen and not mandatory 😭

Yaya, from the JAMA study you refer to: "Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity." No one on this forum is recommending  taking anywhere near that amount. We're talking about 5-10,000IU daily.

"Doses higher than the RDA are sometimes used to treat medical problems such as vitamin D deficiency, but these are given only under the care of a doctor for a specified time frame. Blood levels should be monitored while someone is taking high doses of vitamin D." Quoted from the Healthline article @Yaya linked above...
