If anyone out there didn't already know it Eat'N Park has a pretty decent gluten-free menu. For our area, though it has a lot of restaurant choices, there aren't too many that really take the time to be gluten-free. This restaurant goes out of its way to make sure that their customers aren't glutened--we haven't had one bit of problem.

And there are enough menu choices to enable a diverse family of four to be happy. :D

Want to add that my hubby and I went to Eat N Park yesterday and they now are serving gluten-free rolls and brownies.

We tried the rolls yesterday, pretty delicious. Now, we have some place to go that we can have a hamburger on a bun.

Today my daughter and I went again and tried the brownies--very good. They only charged $1.19 for one.

Kudos to this Pittsburgh based chain.

The rolls and brownies are from French Meadow Bakery.

We went to Eat N Park the other night because it was 8 pm and I was just too tired to cook.

I ordered the 8 oz portion of fish. The waitress came out with only one filet because she knew we were hungry. She explained that the other filet had been placed alongside the rice that has gluten and had to be discarded. She brought the meals so we could begin while a new filet was prepared.

I thanked her profusely. We all know that some places would just have gotten rid of the rice and served the filet to me anyhow. Yes, she got a nice tip. :D

Oh and I sent them an email explaining to them that Smiley Cookie coupons doesn't help those who need the celiac menu. They sent me a letter with a gift card thanking me for bringing up an issue that they had never considered. From now on, each eat n park will offer something gluten-free instead of a cookie.

Thanks so much for posting this! Pretty sure my husband has celiac and I was wondering about eating out. There is an Eat N Park not too far from our house. Thanks!!

      Testing for celiac

      I am new here, I have been diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis (Lymphatic) years ago and have been gluten-free, DF since, but I still can have occasional bouts of diarrhea (still trying to figure that out).  I also have MS, Hypothyroid, Arthritis, Reynaud's and my rosacea has been acting up lately.  What treatment is suggested to help with rosacea?  I would like to know too if there is a test for celiac if you have been gluten-free?   Thank you, Barb

      Well, that's interesting. I am lactose intolerant and have been managing that for years. I'd be interested in seeing if that changes once I feel better from not eating gluten (one thing at a time for now, though). Helpful to hear about the avenin. I will do some digging and pose that to the dietitian. Grateful for your feedback.

      Recently my daughter ate in nandos harlow I rang in advance to speak about the celiac protocals and learned that childs portion chicken nandinos is cooked on the same grill as garlic bread even if they are celiac! Even if you clean it this is not good practise and will be making many children ill. I learnt adults butterfly chicken cooked on a grill purely for chicken.  This is fine and what we ordered however nandos need to take note of your practises for the safety of celiac children. my daughter has been ill from their nandinos chicken before and i emailed head office and they wouldnt accept responsibility

      I agree with @RMJ, you have multiple positive tests so celiac disease is likely.  This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease.
