pbc+celiac Rookie

Well I have been gluten free now for almost 3 weeks and WOW. I just noted today that I have 200% more energy than I had. My husband is in AWE of the way I feel. My daughter stated "I have a new mom". I have not felt this good in 10 years. I was a Jazzercise instructor until 2 months ago when my muscles could do no more but let me tell you as soon as vitamin levels are raised I am going back to teaching because I gotta use up this extra energy. See all these year's I attributed my fatigue to my autoimmune liver disease PBC but I think Celiac was kicking in and finally just recently caught up with me. I have been confirmed celiac disease with blood and biopsy. My neuro symtoms are also leveling out but still somewhat there. SOmething else that is kinda of gross is Bowel movements are not pale and yellow anymore but normal looking. Again thos was thought to be from liver disease as well. The info on this site has been so heplful and I read the posts to get info also and it has been very useful. Thank you all so much.

I am glad to hear that you are doing so well. Be patient with the neuro stuff that can take some time to resolve. I would suggest some sublingual B12 if you are not taking it already. It will help the nerves fire better and could help speed the healing process a bit.

Yay! That's wonderful- good luck to you in your increasing good health!

That's really great! Don't be worried if you have the occasional 'off' day. You were sick for a long time and it'll take a long time to heal.

Hi there, I have a few questions about my daughter who is 2 and has been gluten-free for two weeks following her diagnosis please! She was originally diagnosed due to having faecal impaction and chronic constipation. Since starting the gluten-free diet, we are still on daily movicol but she is pooping a lot more than before. Could this finally be her naturally clearing out the backlog as her digestive system is actually starting to work again? Secondly the colour of her stools has recently been a bit pinkish. It does not look like blood, but I wondered if this is normal again for a colour shift post diet change? Finally, she has had a very large tummy due to the coeliac. How long does this take to go down? Thank you!

Everything I had was included in the cruise fare. The coffee at cafe al baico is not but,  ALL baked goods are! If you want a coffee, latte, or espresso the charge is $4 to $5. Not bad for some excellent coffee! The buffet and spa cafe has free coffee and drinks. Also large selection of the best ice cream, sorbet, and gelato at sea for free!  with Celebrity I don’t feel like I have a handicap.

I love that there's wheat all over the wall paper for the gluten-free section. It looks good. Was the café included in the free meals or was that extra?

The best gluten-free pizza is on the Celebrity Summit, but the Celebrity Beyond Pizza still beats and land gluten-free pizza.
