i saw this through the grape vine but it is an article here. in summary, not all gluten is bad for us (most of us knew that because rice and corn still has gluten in it but it doesnt effect us), so some smart person is looking at what part of the gluten is causing the reactions we have and finding gluten that doesnt cause the reaction (not just the symptoms but the biological immune response). so what that means for us is that we might be able to get substitute foods that are much closer to the bad glutened versions

I read a study the other day that said teens who skipped breakfast lost their virginity earlier. I was like wow.. this is what they are doing studies on when there are people dying from illness out there? :blink:

      The ulcers are prepyloric ulcers. Not sure if that makes any difference.

      I had what was termed "lesions," and normally ulcers are in the stomach, rather than the small intestines. I'm not sure why they would want you to have her continue to eat gluten, since she had a positive blood test, but as her doctor said, if she is uncomfortable and having symptoms why not have her go gluten-free at this point? If her symptoms improve, it would be another indicator that she has celiac disease and/or gluten sensitivity. This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.):
