Z Pizza

Was at the Harris Teeter off Sunrise Valley Drive yesterday and on a whim walked into the Z Pizza in that same shopping center and asked if they had gluten free pizza. They said they did and made it in a separate room. So I ordered a California Pizza and it was WONDERFUL!!! There were so many options of pizza to choose from, unlike Unos who won't give you any topping but pepperoni. I told them that they needed to put a sign or something saying they served gluten free pizza, as it's not even written on their menu. Anyhow, I didn't get sick and enjoyed it tremendously. :D

We go to that Zpizza often but live closer to the Dulles28 and South Riding Zpizza locations. All those locations are owned by the same guy and all have the gluten free crust!! I think now that I know they have gluten-free I am there weekly at least. I personally think their crust far surpasses Unos and I have never gotten sick eating there. Mmmmmmm.... :D

I just went to zpizza in raleigh. I got my own gluten-free pizza while my husband sister and friend all got their own regular pizzas. we were all very impressed. my husband liked mine better :P none of us would have expected that huh? i was very impressed. the minute i said gluten free the cashier started telling which toppings were safe and then he apologized there weren't more. I was just happy to get a pizza! and one that tasted good- even better!!! five stars to ZPIZZA!!!

I'm in Raleigh, too. I went in there not too long after they started doing the gluten-free crusts, and the guy that took my order yelled back as loud as he could "GLUTEN FREE ALERT! GLUTEN FREE ALERT!' It was great :)

I've eaten there a couple of times, never gotten sick... aside from the dairy that I shouldn't really eat...

haha he did that for me too. and he made sure he assured me it was glutren free when he brought it out to me. it was sooo good. i made my husband try it to see if there was a difference between that and the regular. like i said he like ours better

i love that! i sent the company an email giving them a very warm thank you from those of us in the raleigh area. the office said they would pass on the note to the staff there :D

Yes, but it does say it is wheat free. So, if it does contain gluten, it would must have come into contact with barley or rye somehow which isn't very likely. I think a lot of companies with products like this aren't willing to claim gluten free status because they don't want to got through the expense of testing and/or incur the liability risk if some customer has a reaction from a batch that slipped through and didn't meet the standard. Yet, in reality they are probably safe for most celiacs. Are you super sensitive?

I did see that one! The facility description is definitely promising, however, on the manufacturers website it says it isn't gluten free under "additional information" so it's hard to know if it can be trusted!  https://www.olivenation.com/soy-flour.html?srsltid=AfmBOoqm52IxCCZyEHR9L6auoR25t15xe_jt2qpYDAA7nCDIIImh00c1

Welcome to the forum, @Newhere19, I agree with @Beverage about getting a DNA test for Celiac genetic markers and trying the gluten free diet.   An endoscopy would be able to check for visible damage and allow biopsies to be taken to examine for microscopic damage.   Some people have camera endoscopy.  Would this be a possibility?   Sending encouragement.  You've found a tribe that understands.
