Raw Apple Cider Vinegar Helps!

I was reading something about apple cider vinegar for stomach discomfort. So, I decided to give it a try. It actually helped my stomach sooo much. I have had very good and easy bms. Usually, they are pasty with undigested food in them. I am just wondering why this would help?

It helps me too, especially after I've been glutened. I think it helps me digest my food better. Glad it's helping :)

Maybe its a probiotic.

I have heard it is suppose to change the pH in the stomach and encourage the natural acid to digest food. I've taken it for years and it does help.

This is interesting... I use apple cider vinegar on occasion, but have yet to try it post gluten reaction. I've read about people doing shots of apple cider vinegar after meals, and I'm wondering how you use it (ex: mix it into a salad dressing or soup) or as a medicinal/probiotic "shot"...

I just put 1 tsp in a shot glass and fill the rest with water, then just drink it like that. I do NOT recommend drinking it by itself... burns a lot!

Sounds palatable. Thanks for the tip.

Just wondering, however, it this would be good or bad if you are battling candida (which I am)

Aside from helping with digestion, it keeps my skin really clear. I drank it a lot in the beginning when I was having lots of stomach issues, but then I slacked off. I've picked it back up and I'm amazed how good my skin looks in week. Maybe there is something to the detox effect?

FWIW, Bragg's is the only one I can stomach. It has a faintly apple taste. I tried another raw one and Heinz. The other raw one, Spectrum, I think, was okay. The Heinz was just horrible!

I took it for years with honey and warm water. It's really good that way. I can't do so much of it anymore. I don't know why. Maybe I can't do that much vinegar.

I don't do the vinegar by itself but I do put lemon juice in my food often. Lemon juice goes well in rice dishes and with vegetables. I figure they are both acidic so why not? Vinegar can be used in foods also. Rice vinegar is nice. I don't know of any reason you would get more benefit by taking it (vinegar or lemon juice) separately from your food, but maybe there is one? I'd rather add it to my food instead. That reminds me of people using lemon slices in their water glasses and other drinks. Maybe that developed as a digestion aid in the past? It tastes good anyhow.

Ichthus is the Greek word (using English letters) for fish. The letters in the actual Greek word form an acronym that come from the first letters in the Greek words for "Jesus", "God's Son," "Savior".   Now, back to your family's denial of your celiac disease, I think you can relate to this:

Thanks for the kind words. It's hard to convince my doctor to investigate further because of a negative blood test and he only tested me for one marker. 🙃 I've come to the point where I need to take this into my own hands because the doctors are infuriating and it's not going anywhere. I've been gluten free for a week and feeling better but I was still consuming dairy and I think that's what's backing me up. Next week no dairy introduced.

Hello mantooth nice to meet you it's so uncanny what you wrote you sound just like me even the back issues are exactly the same and I'm new here too trying to find out if I have the same had I too have been struggling to find answers with my docters I don't have a diagnosis but I've been struggling like forever and was told ibs and health aniexty was my problem but on researching I've come to the conclusion it's probably more because i cut gluten and lactose out for 6 months and  it was a incredible change for me so although I can't help with diagnosis I can say your not alone in trying  to find answers 😊
