DownWithGluten Explorer

Hi.

I've had issues with menstural cramps. Someone suggested Pamprin, and my automatic reaction was "ehh I don't know if it's gluten free..." I checked that glutenfreedrugs.com list, and it was not on there.

However, Pamprin's site says in the FAQ "No" to containing gluten. They have several varieties of Pamprin, but the FAQ just said "Does your product contain gluten" with the answer "no."

Feeling plucky I went out and bought Pamprin Menstrual Max. My period rolled around and I was too scared to try it. Lol. Has anyone taken that? Has it been okay gluten-wise? I emailed them a few days ago (no phone number) but have yet to receive a response.

Thanks.

Current "gluten challenge" recommendations are the daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten (about the amount found in 4-6 slices of wheat bread) daily leading up to the day of the biopsy.

Thank you for your input!  I would really like to know if I have celiac disease because you need make sure you are not getting any cross contamination due to cancer concerns.  I guess I need to start with a knowledgeable Gastroenterologist. Thank you again!

Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.

It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.
