Help!..... I No Longer Exist ?

David Harris

Recommended Posts

David Harris Newbie

I changed a bit of information in my about me section yesterday.

When I logged in Today I got a message no new posts, when I go in manually there are lots of new posts Today??

Have I been sent to Coventry (only people in the UK will understand that) or worse still, is my very soul, out there, somewhere in the 'Twilight Zone'

Any suggestions on how to recover my profile info ??

It looks like a new member was created when you came in via FaceBook. I'm not sure how the FB link is supposed to work. It is new, and I have not tried it.

This would be something for Scott (admin) to look into.

David,

Coventry sounds like a scary place:( Is that like "the middle of nowhere" plus some little evil trolls? LOL

If you log in using your Facebook account it will create a new account here by the same name. Log back out, then log in the regular way (not using Facebook) to use your old account.

Take care,

Thank you Scott, I just assumed that it was another way to log in.

I did log-out and then logged in with E-mail and Password and all the info was there.

I better not ever try Open ID, god only knows what would happen.

But it does seem strange that logging in (other than standard) still gives me my Avatar, user name, some profile detail (not much) just no past history.

So correct me if I'm wrong,

I can now have 3 seperate accounts with the same user name ??

surely there's a software fix that not matter how you log in, it will always access the same info held for the user.

or just delete the other log-in options altogether to avoid confusion.

Being sent to 'Coventry' means

people totally ignore you, won't speak to you or even answer you if you speak to them,

you're treated like you're not there (you don't exist).

I believe that when you first sign in from FaceBook, some information gets imported. Your current FB profile picture becomes your avatar, so if you have that same pic in many places...

Hi Peter,

All very confusing,

My mistake was thinking I could log in by Facebook, Open Id or E-mail

to access my account (all the same E-mail address ?)

Maybe a notice to say NEW Memberships may be created using your Facebook details or Open ID details.

Once you've created an account always use that way to log in otherwise your details will not be up-to-date.

Best Regards,

David

PS - I can merge accounts if you end up with more than one...

Is it worth it to remove gluten before they potentially do an endoscopy & biopsy? I thought I read it’s best to be eating gluten for 3 months prior to it. So hoping they have a cancellation and call us in sooner.

Thank you for the warning. I get blood tests twice a year to check where I stand with the vitamins I regularly take, so I appreciate the extra reminder. I know some vitamins don’t build up but now I will watch the B6 for sure.

I think you would do well to take a high potency B-complex such that you get more balanced dosage across the spectrum of B vitamins. They work in concert.

Around 5 years ago I visited Tokyo, and luckily had my sister in law with me who is from there, otherwise it would have been more difficult. The bottom line is that there are tons of naturally gluten-free food options there, but you need to be able to communicate your needs to restaurant staff. Here is a gluten-free restaurant card for American visitors in Tokyo. It includes a request for a gluten-free meal and mentions common gluten-containing ingredients to avoid, like soy sauce and miso. English: Thank you. Japanese:   You can also download the Google Translate app, and besides being able to help you speak with people there about this, it has a camera app that translates Japanese text to English in your camera, so you can use it when shopping in a supermarket.
