I know this is a tad gross but I have celiac and my son is 4 and today he had blood in his BM. Not sure if this is a sympton in children but we are off to the Dr's to get him checked out and get his test done today instead of waiting for his upcoming appointment. I was just wondering if any other child has had this. He complained of a stomach ache and then didn't make it to the bathroom (yep lucky me!) He says he feels much better now but I just want to get him checked out. Thanks karen

My son had blood in is stool before going on the gluten-free diet. The doctors said that it is definitely a symptom. So did my mother-in-law, now that I think of it.
