Is it safe to kiss someone after they eat gluten?

Oh, the things Celiacs have to think about on Valentine's Day!

I think you should wait to kiss until at least engaged if not married. (just kidding). I would think he might have crumbs, a good toothbrushing & rinse. Ahh! Minty fresh!

Agreed! Floss, brush, rinse!

Well hey, it's a good question. This is important stuff after all. -_-

I'm also in agreement about possible gluten crumbs. My boyfriend and I don't kiss unless he hasn't been eating gluten, or if he has just brushed. Luckily he doesn't often eat gluten and he has good hygiene. =D

I will have to make sure we are careful then. Seems to kind of take away some spontaneity. Better than spontaneous D though ;) Lol.

Has anyone ever had a reaction after contact with someone who had eaten gluten?

Yup, I've had a reaction. I actually have to have my boyfriend brush, wait several hours, and brush again before I'm safe. Apparently, food proteins get caught in our salivary glands and released for some time after we eat. We peck, but no mushy stuff until he's thoroughly cleansed!

So I got curious and looked up the address of Global Food and found that their listed address is the EXACT same as the Roastery Coast nuts, the original product that I found the Global Food Gluten Free Certification on. Global Food and Roastery Coast are the same company. I'm seriously cracking up at how sketchy it is.  ROASTERY COAST OFFICE 40222 La Quinta LN B102  Palmdale, CA 93551   Global Food Office Address: 40222 La Quinta LN, STE B-102Palmdale, CA 93551   Business Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:30am to 5:00pm   Telephone: 661-977-2300   Email: info@globalfoodcert.org

The only good part I see in their response is the gluten free facility.

Yeah, it's just a marketing ploy.
