Is There A gluten-free Info Card For Daycare Providers?

DD2 is newly diagnosed with Gluten Intolerance. She's only 13 months old so I'm not having too much difficulty with her diet because she's still nursing and still mainly eating whole foods. She goes to daycare 1 day a week and her grandma's 1 day a week. Her daycare providers are great with her limitations but I'm sure that here are a few who are clueless ;) Grandma is a different story. She's not very confident with her ability to make healthy choices for her so I've been trying to figure out a way to make it easy for her. I used to have a credit card size list of dairy ingredients-is there one for gluten that I could give to her daycare providers?

I've seen the cool stickers but that's just a warning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe these resources will help?

You can order a free info packet to give out. It includes a dining card, if I remember right.

Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.

It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.

Well I’m going on the gluten farewell tour so they are about to find out lol. I keep saying biopsy but yeah it’s a scope and stuff. I’m a dummy but luckily my doctor is not.

The biopsy for celiac disease is done of the small bowel lining and in conjunction with an "upper GI" scoping called an endoscopy. A colonoscopy scopes the lower end of the intestines and can't reach up high enough to get to the small bowel. The endoscopy goes through the mouth, through the stomach and into the duodenum, which is at the upper end of the intestinal track. So, while they are scoping the duodenum, they take biopsies of the mucosal lining of that area to send off for microscopic analysis by a lab. If the damage to the mucosa is substantial, the doc doing the scoping can often see it during the scoping.
