Ways Of Healing Damaged Intestines?

Greetings,

I have been gluten free for 6 months to a year now. I would like to know if what are some ways that I can heal my gut without giving up so many things. I am taking a dairy free probiotic. I stopped eating raw veggies due to arthritic symptoms. After stopping carbs because of the candida and most fruits it seemed like I did not have very much to eat. I also take enzymes prescribed by GI doctor. This morning I noticed my tongue Any suggestions from the veterans are welcomed.

Well, I'm not a "veteran" when it comes to being g.f., as I've only been g.f. for about a month and a half, but I am a veteran when it comes to probiotics! I have tried so many over the years, and none seemed to really help. Well o.k., now I realize that the candida problems were mostly brought on by gluten; but even before going g.f. one was recommended to me by an Herbalist that actually worked great---and fast. And that was when I was at my worst before cutting the gluten! It's a two-step thing; the first one is called Yeast Away and the second one is called Yeast Control. It works by killing the yeast, yet there's no "detox" effect from billions of yeast simultaneously dying off, because it contains cellulase enzymes, which kills it by rupturing it's cell wall, and it's then absorbed into the body. And the yeast can't become immune to it, because it's cell wall is destroyed and it can't just change it's basic structure, like some of those little critters can. So, no "healing crisis", unless, perhaps, the infection is very severe, and then in that case the website advises you to start slowly. Just scroll to the bottom of the page, it explains it. Now I don't know if they're still doing it, but a few months ago when I ordered the large size bottle of Yeast Away, I was in for a nice surprise when they sent along a coupon with my order, for one free bottle of Yeast Control. Nice!

Hi,

I've been gluten free for a year and a half now and think kimchee helped to heal my gut and helps it when I get glutened (not that I'll eat it when I feel sick). It is the Korean version of sauerkraut. Koreans swear by it for health and taste. It is fermented Asian cabbage with a hot chili spice (bonus healing). Fermented veggies have similar properties to yogurt- with all the good bacteria for your gut.

Before I went gluten free, any type of fermented cabbage would fill me with gas, but as I've become well I've been able to tolerate this in large portions. I like to eat it on a regular basis.

I meant to add, these fermented veggies can be cooked. I'm not sure if these reduces their effectiveness, but I like to put kimchee in a soup or stew for instance. It can be found in any Asian grocery, in the refrigerated section.

      After looking at Google images, the spleen is on the upper left abdomen, too!  An organ, part of the lymphatic system for immune function.  A filter.  Wonder how this relates to gluten sensitivity?

      Hello, everyone, This upper left side pain is interesting to me.  I have this same pain almost all the time.  Started 2009 when I got diverticulitis for the first time.  Then had left ovarian cyst removed and a diagnosis of endometriosis all over inside.  Been attempting gluten-free since 2018.  It's not perfect, but still have that left sided pain.  Like up under the rib cage.  I believe the pancreas head is on that side, so I often wonder if I have a tumor or something there.  But it could also be an endometriosis adhesion in my belly.  I never got scraped.

      One of my biggest issues is when a brand chooses to label one item gluten free, but not another. Why is Hunt's diced tomatoes labeled gluten free, but not the paste or sauce? I would have assumed they were all gluten-free, but why label one and not the others? It makes me suspicious.

      Most of these items would be naturally gluten-free, with very little chance of cross contamination, thus they don't typically label them as gluten-free. If wheat is a potential allergen large companies disclose this in the ingredients as "Allergens: wheat."
