Going gluten-free Today

So today is the day I start my gluten-free diet. I am not having any GI symptoms, and was wondering once I start the diet and if I accidently ingest gluten will symptoms arise? I am starting with the basics as many of you suggested. I hope I can do this. Would hate to induce symptoms when I haven't been feeling bad.

Hi there. You'll do fine on the diet. You can't worry about things like how you might react to gluten down the road. You said your blood test was very high positive, so you really need to stay gluten free. Some people with silent celiac never develop trouble from eating gluten. With luck, you'll be one of those folks. :)

Thank you for your input!  I would really like to know if I have celiac disease because you need make sure you are not getting any cross contamination due to cancer concerns.  I guess I need to start with a knowledgeable Gastroenterologist. Thank you again!

Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.

It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.

Well I’m going on the gluten farewell tour so they are about to find out lol. I keep saying biopsy but yeah it’s a scope and stuff. I’m a dummy but luckily my doctor is not.
