Trader Joe's Rice Milk

Hi there, it's been awhile since I've posted but we're running into some problems and I could sure use your help! Last month my boys had their GI check-up. One had bloodwork done (the other son's was post-poned for another reason). He had a level come back indicating he's consuming gluten somewhere. The nurse was confident in saying that with that number, it was more than just a cross-contamination at home. I can't remember which test it was, just that his level read 62. Anyway, I've racked my brain trying to figure out what it is they're eating. We've gone out a few more times but it's like 2x a month, if that. We've been eating more tacos and the like with the summer weather (so corn tortillas which I buy different brands depending on where I'm shopping). The only foods they eat daily are cereal (usually EnviroKidz), rice milk (Trader Joe's) and some snacky foods (either EnviroKidz brand or Enjoy Life, if processed). Based on info I'm finding out, I'm thinking it could be the rice milk. My boys are starting to be symptomatic and this is after consuming this for months and months. So it's difficult to tell if it is that for awhile (or until they're tested again in Jan) because their symptoms are slight. Anyone else have reactions? Or advice? Thanks!

I don't think all the EnviroKidz cereals are gluten free, have you called to see if the gluten-free ones are made in a dedicated plant. Perhaps a CC issue or are you using ones that have oats? Not all of us tolerate oats.

Thank you for your input!  I would really like to know if I have celiac disease because you need make sure you are not getting any cross contamination due to cancer concerns.  I guess I need to start with a knowledgeable Gastroenterologist. Thank you again!

Correct. I’m doing both in the same go though. Thanks for clarifying before I confused someone. I’m doing a colonoscopy for something else and then they added the endoscopy after the test.

It is a biopsy but it's not a colonoscopy, it's an endoscopy.

Well I’m going on the gluten farewell tour so they are about to find out lol. I keep saying biopsy but yeah it’s a scope and stuff. I’m a dummy but luckily my doctor is not.
