Sora, you MUST come! It would not be the same without you. We'll just have to come up with some interesting "chores" for you, too! Actually, you love cooking also - you can cook with those of us who love to do it.

Sora, I can't stand it! That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny! :lol: :lol: :lol: How did you know where to look for me? Wait til I tell my husband you found me. I am as white as that; in fact, I blend in with the snow quite well. Snow can be great camouflage. And I do have glasses and brown hair. That bikini only comes out in winter. You should see what I wear when it's actually hot out! OK, you got me. Call me Slackinator. Just watching the cabana boys I mean my husband shoveling the driveway.

I am nearly peeing my pants, too.

All of those empty lounge chairs are for commune members only for watching the cabana boys. (See L2T's big smile?)

Looks like she doesn't need a MuuMuu either so maybe I can help with the cooking.

Yes! The chairs are waiting to be filled. Just wondering when you all are coming!

If you look closely at the picture you'll see that the biggest and saggiest parts of my thighs are very well camouflaged by the snow. Same with my tummy. Plus Sora sure knows how to photoshop!

shhh,,,,, well she isn't chunky, sweets, but lovey and I have a pact....no matter how much weight we gain post DX, we'll always be shapely and svelte. (in our own minds...) :lol:

As you can tell, I'm not GottaSki responding here ( :lol: ) but what the heck...try this jerky recipe. Dead easy and even more deadly tasting.

Mine's still in the dehydrator, but I can tell you that L2T's recipe will taste far superior -- there wasn't much I could marinate mine in -- so I'm hopeful it is edible...will post instructions after I try and get verified by one of the male jerky experts in my midst.

And yes I was walking in the rain -- I love weather -- guess it's cuz we rarely have it here!

Crockpot ended up with Chili Verde in it -- tacos for dinner -- me a bit of pork pulled out before the chili went in -- guess that means I'm having pulled pork ;)

but in terms of "Numbers", well....there's nuttin wrong with that. :lol: excess cabana boys...no problem

Mmmm! How do you make the honey butter chicken? Sounds good.

I'm making oven "fried" chicken tenders and homemade Mac and cheese.

It was pretty tasty, I actually let my 6 year old decide how to make the honey butter and she made me proud:)

We used chicken thighs and partially cooked them. Meanwhile my daughter took half a stick of butter, melted it and stirred in approximately a tsp of honey, brushed it onto the chicken and finished cooking it. When it was done the skin was crispy and slightly carmelized.

Had a big lunch out, so homemade chicken noodle soup. Butterscotch pie for dessert :)

yum....that sounds De-lish, Alex! Another example of a daughter showing her mom "she knows her stuff" :)

and just like Bac-on!!...you cannot go wrong with butter (IMHO)

and I am a huge fan of Irish Kerrygold.

I made carrot puree and had it with steak.

Actually an edible form of carrots, because I hate the taste but have to eat 'em anyways.

Butterscotch pie.....oh wow!!....(drooling...) I LOVE butterscotch.

We are having "encores".. of the bison stuffed peppers tonight. But getting no complaints, so that's good. :D

We also had a big lunch--something called a "Breakfast Scramble"

It involves eggs, cheese, sauteed peppers, onions, mushrooms, home fries, and......wait for it........bacon!

My friend who owns the gluten-free cafe created it...and I replicate it (as best I can) and the hubs...loves it.

I think it is just a way to use anything in the fridge. I made it into a frittata,

      I am new here, I have been diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis (Lymphatic) years ago and have been gluten-free, DF since, but I still can have occasional bouts of diarrhea (still trying to figure that out).  I also have MS, Hypothyroid, Arthritis, Reynaud's and my rosacea has been acting up lately.  What treatment is suggested to help with rosacea?  I would like to know too if there is a test for celiac if you have been gluten-free?   Thank you, Barb

      Well, that's interesting. I am lactose intolerant and have been managing that for years. I'd be interested in seeing if that changes once I feel better from not eating gluten (one thing at a time for now, though). Helpful to hear about the avenin. I will do some digging and pose that to the dietitian. Grateful for your feedback.

      Recently my daughter ate in nandos harlow I rang in advance to speak about the celiac protocals and learned that childs portion chicken nandinos is cooked on the same grill as garlic bread even if they are celiac! Even if you clean it this is not good practise and will be making many children ill. I learnt adults butterfly chicken cooked on a grill purely for chicken.  This is fine and what we ordered however nandos need to take note of your practises for the safety of celiac children. my daughter has been ill from their nandinos chicken before and i emailed head office and they wouldnt accept responsibility

      I agree with @RMJ, you have multiple positive tests so celiac disease is likely.  This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease.
