Irish sent to her room. Hahahahaha! That's hilarious.

Chocolate mint is the holy grail of mint. The best of the best imo. And there isn't anything wrong with a patio garden, especially with good herbs! :D

I'm having a 'treat meal' tonight: grilled chicken nachos with red bell pepper, onions, and mushrooms. I haven't eaten this type of meal in a long time. I'm very excited. For those that don't know I track my macronutrients so I weigh/plan my meals accordingly. I spent last night figuring out my meals for today so I could fit that in. Sooo looking forward to it!

Hello girls.

This is irishheart's mom.

She has been sent to her room for being a wise ass.

ooh!  ooh!  send me!  send me!  :D

i have no clue what's for dinner.........   i have all these people and no suggestions.  not even one.  grrr....

if i was sent to my room, i wouldn't have these dilemmas!

LauraTX Rising Star

Last night I made turkey tacos with refried beans and mexican rice.  I was worn out after cooking but gradually am able to work back up to doing more.  Tonight will be something with chicken breasts... will throw something together.

Tell them you are not Julie on the love boat (look that up all you youngsters!) and it is not your job to plan every single thing.

When I ask people "what would like like?"  and they say " I don't know", I say, "sorry I do not serve that."

Hi Irish's Mom!

Being sent to one's room isn't so bad at our age...as long as we can have a good book to read ;)

:D

hello Lisa

I know all about you.

It was futile to send Ginny to her room because she had so many  books in there and it was really

not a punishment at all.

G: Ma, do not use my real name. I like to be anonymous

B: oh stop it, They saw your picture with the half- naked doctor. And I saw you with the giant bottle of vodka.

Note to self: never tag team post with your moms.

erg.

LMAO...uh oh...Mom do you know what that means?  I don't think I want to be in trouble before we have had the opportunity to meet in person.  Hugs, Ski!

Dinner changed slightly...ribs, baked mac-n-cheese and broccoli all around :)

Hi Irish's Mom! I am on Central time so it isn't past my bedtime yet.

The problem with getting sent to my room is that they all find me! The dog, the cat, the kid, the other kid if he is home from college, the hub, my neighbor, her dog..... I need your mom to send to me Tahiti. That might be far enough to punish me! :)

Adalaide Mentor

We picked up some beef tips at the store today. I looked in my spellbook and found a recipe for some fried something with mustard and wine and Worcestershire. So I threw together a marinade with similar ingredients and tossed it in the fridge. I fried half with an onion for me and did his half without because he's anti-delicious things. I had more rainbow carrots and he had fries. I'm getting all adventurous and stuff, just throwing things together and hoping it turns into food when I'm done.

Go to Tahiti this instant young lady! or you can come here. there is another bed in my room but the cat sleeps on it.

Sometimes, she stares at me. My daughter wants me to have a cat, but I said no because I have a beta fish named Alpha.

Just kidding. His name is Jake.

Irish's mom

okay, Ma. you're done here.

Say good morning to the dinner peeps.

"good mornin dinnah peeps"

ok, go sit over there please!  (my ma's mad because I beat her at scrabble last night. sore loser!)

man, just having her here for a day and my boston accent has returned.

Tonight is pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and haricots verts  ( ha ha! karen) but no vegetable melange.

I can't get my mother to eat her veggies. (how ironic is THAT?) she does not believe me that corn is a grain.

"It's in the produce section"

is her reasoning.....lmao  Green leafies? sooner eat rocks. sigh

Isn't that adventurous stuff fun? Some of my best cooking came from being all "chopped" with the food in the fridge.

You go, girl!

Hey Miss FancyPants....made me look up French Green Beans....learned my something new for the day at 5:01am...might be a new record : )

Added shredded cauliflower to my baked Mac n cheese last night.....my less than enthusiast veggie eater was suspicious so I told him....he said he tasted it and the other men told him no way....I think he actually could....but he did eat it and said he liked the sauce despite my trying to ruin it....I think I need to practice sneaking veggies in without looking guilty like I used to when he was shorter than me ;)

We should list sneaky ways to get people to eat veggies.

In omelets, casseroles, lasagnes, stews, soups,. I even snuck frozen chopped kale into J's smoothie.

he says 'what the green stuff? i said kiwi.

I'm goin to hell for lying.

HAHAHAHAAAA!  :D:D:D

my sense of humor is "inappropriate" at the very least (or so i've been told)  and my meatloaf is da bomb.  making some for tomorrow, but i'll do the sauce today.   actually, i'm making 2 - 1 is special request by daughter's boyfriend for the family.  le sigh........  :(

on the upside, i thought i might try some VEGETABLE MELANGE  :D  yeah, i went there  :o   :P

I could get my husband to eat anything if I could mask it in Mt Dew!

We're having breakfast for dinner. Bacon flavored sausage (yes, it's a thing), pancakes and eggs. Scrambled for him and poached for me. Hmmm... I wonder if I could mask a pureed veggie in pancakes? I should try that sometime!

I forgot that I picked up strawberries at the store yesterday, because apparently I have some sort of moronic death wish for how I want to feel Saturday night. But I'm going to make a yellow cake because I found a great recipe that looks better than a pound cake. And I think strawberries in our pancakes sounds awesome. B) I haven't touched a strawberry in over a year. Damn it, it's time!

No, one crumb from a month before the blood test would not materially affect the results of the test. I sense you are devoting a lot more "worry energy" to this than it deserves. That will do you more harm than a tick over normal on the TTG-IGA score.
    • thejayland10
Sometimes I have a bit of stomach, discomfort, anxiety, tiredness, and soreness but nothing that stops by normal day to day activities. I work a ton and am very active so likely it is related to that and not my celiac but unsure with everyone's symptoms and stories I see online.  I will definitely start doing this every year from now on. Could one crumb of gluten from a month before that blood test caused that spike ? I am trying to really trace back and think
    • trents
The do what? Give you a gluten-like reaction you mean?
    • trents
Different labs use different reference ranges for celiac-related tests. They concoct the tests a little differently in each place so the ranges are custom. So, I would trust the lab that analyzed the test and not google.' All celiac diagnostic tests are less than 100% specific. That is to say, there are other medical conditions, some medications, some other health issues and even some non-gluten foods that can cause them to be elevated, at least mildly. And your TTG-IGA score is barely elevated. If you were to get retested next week it might be back in normal range. It is normal to see some fluctuation in most labs and in most physical and biological parameters. Can you be more specific about "certain things" that you feel. How do you feel different? Are there any specific symptoms that might be tied to a celiac regression? It would be a good idea to check all pantry items to see if there have been any ingredient changes over time that might have introduced gluten into your diet and to check meds, supplements and oral hygiene products as well. But other than that, I would not stress out about it as long as you aren't experiencing any particular health issues that you can tie to celiac regression. I certainly would recommend that you get your antibody levels checked more often than every 10 years so that you have concrete data to work with. I would go for every year if your physician would agree to it. It could be included as part of your annual wellness check.  Yes, your posts are all showing in the thread. No need to duplicate via PMs.

These were certified gluten free. I have a list of about 12 or so foods that do this.
