Has anyone reintroduced corn and / or rice successfully??

I have been totally grain free for about 7 weeks . This past weekend I was not feeling well ( JUST the flu :P ) and I wanted some rice ,,,so I had some :o not good . Maybe I didnt wait long enough,,

I know and except that I will never be able to eat gluten/wheat/soy again And I am totally OK with that ,,but I will really cry if I cant ever have rice and corn again

We use a combination of re-introduction challenge and repeat alergy testing to track our progress with our food allergies. After avoiding for many months to a year, we were able to stop reacting to some and get them back into our diets but not with others, yet. With my son and corn we re-introduced and seemed to get a reaction and symptoms so just to double check, I left it out again for a while and the re-introduced again and didn't notice the symptoms so we added it back to his diet, although I still kept contol of how much-, for example, permanently switched to potato starch instead of corn in gluten-free baking, both homemade and products. When he was re-tested, his corn was still the same level reaction as the previous year so we are trying to avoid it for a longer period of time and see if we can at least get his test reaction down a notch. It's a tough one to avoid. We are just avoiding the protein containing ingredients, not corn syrup and the like. Check your meds too. The company that makes one of my son's allergy meds won't disclose whether or not their ingredients are corn containing.

No, I don't think you waited long enough. I think you should wait at least six months.

I was hoping that with the Soy ,Corn and Nightshades completely out of my diet that Rice would not be an problem ...I agree it was probably to soon <_<

I doubt very much that it contains any gluten. It works by producing an artificial blood clot, mixing 2 or more proteins found in the natural blood clotting cascade. These are refined from human blood donations. It comes in 2 vials that are mixed immediately before use and clot quickly.

This literally happened to me today I had gluten after not eating it for over 6 months doing the elimination diet has I'm trying to get help with a diagnosis I ate gluten a few days ago and then stopped  because I went for my blood test today unfortunately it's not enough has I've now learned from some helpful people on this forum it has to be a lot longer before a test but my food today was really salty I just thout it was me because I'd deviated off my diet but I definitely tasted my  food  salty so that's a very intriguing investigation for me now thankyou for the post

Here is more info about how to do a gluten challenge for a celiac disease blood panel, or for an endoscopy: and this recent study recommends 4-6 slices of wheat bread per day:
