Found Rudi's gluten-free Bread

I know other's have stated that Rudi's gluten-free bread is better than Udi's. I have to agree! And, I love Udi's! If you get a chance, check it out. On their web site they have a place where you can find if anyone sells it locally.

I would much rather have Rudi's. Plus it has less calories & fat. :D

Been there, tried it and didn't like it. It made excellent bread crumbs though. :P

Count me as one who loves Rudi's and hates Udi's. Well..."hate" is a strong word. I like it but if I eat 2 or more slices in two days, I react to it. One is ok, usually.

With Rudi's, I don't have that reaction. And I don't normally react to gluten-free baked goods, so I don't know if it's CC or something else. Maybe tapioca, which is in Udi's but not Rudi's. Although I use tapioca at home for baking and don't react.

In any event, I'm very happy to have found Rudi's. I've remade an old gluten recipe for NYDay breakfas - sausage souffle casserole - which is great with Rudi's gluten-free bread. Can't wait to eat it tomorrow morning!

Same here....we react to Udi's, but so far, we've been good with Rudi's. I really like that the pieces are larger, and you seem to get more slices with each loaf. My kids, and their gluten eating cousins loved it too.

Rudi's has a $1 off coupon you can print on their site now, too.

I like Udi's and Rudi's, mostly because I have a small kitchen and don't like to use up all my flour blends baking my own bread.

I thought Rudi's made great toast, but when it comes to eating as a sandwich or something, I prefer Udi's because to me I feel like Rudi's is dense and heavier than Udi's. They are both good though and probably the best 2 premade gluten free breads.

I totally agree. I was just amazed at how soft Rudi's is when I grilled it in a ham and cheese sandwich. It was like regular bread! I did not like it at all for a sandwich. I still prefer the Udi's that way.

I agree with running crazy. Rudi's for toasted sandwich and Udi for fresh! YUM Life is good. :D

I've already seen it mentioned on this site, but if you print off the Rudi's coupon, they will donate money to celiac disease research and education.

Here's a link to the coupon: Open Original Shared Link

Thank you for direction.  Eating out is a concern though we rarely do, but I'm prepared now.

This might be helpful to you at this point:

Thank you for the update.  So interesting to know how things are changing, when I was diagnosed I had very similar blood results but still had to have the endoscopy.  Glad you know where you stand.  As your father has celiac disease you probably already know a lot about it, but do contact us if we can help further.

But isn't it easier to just take a D3 supplement? Is the D light somehow a superior source? Links?

So the way it should be used is to take it before possible gluten exposure, so right before a meal at a restaurant take 1-2 capsules. Unfortunately taking it 1 hour or more after an exposure is too late.
