I live in the Central Valley (Grecia) here in Costa Rica and wonder if there are any support groups around?

I had ADHD symptoms but taking Thiamine (Benfotiamine and Allithiamine TTFD), magnesium and potassium really helped with symptoms.   A diet high in carbohydrates can precipitate Thiamine deficiency symptoms that resemble ADHD.  Extra thiamine is needed to convert carbohydrates to energy.  Dr. Derrick Lonsdale has an explanation...  https://hormonesmatter.com/adhd-diet-thiamine/ https://hormonesmatter.com/sugar-intake-and-thiamine/ Hope this helps!

It's great to hear that cruise lines are stepping up and offering better and more quality gluten-free options for their guests! Given the fact that on a ship you're basically trapped with whatever food options there are, it makes a lot of business sense for all cruise lines to cater to the growing gluten-free crowd.

@ABP, "her IgG GLIADIN (DEAMIDATED) AB (IGG) was 22.4"  In young children, the DGP IgG tests may be the only positive blood test because the immune system is not mature and doesn't produce tTg IgA until older.  Iron deficiency and thiamine deficiency can cause poor tTg IgA production. "her genetic test for celiac was positive." Must have at least one gene to develop Celiac Disease. "Increased intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs)"  Increased intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) occurs in early stages of celiac disease. "...severe constipation and bloating...frequent mouth stores...keratosis Pilaris...decreased growth curve..."  These symptoms can be related to nutritional deficiencies. Keratosis Pilaris occurs in Vitamin C deficiency, Niacin B 3 deficiency, and Vitamin A deficiency.   Mouth sores can also occur with any of these deficiencies as well as in B12 deficiency.  Decreased growth can occur in iron deficiency, Vitamin D deficiency and Vitamin A deficiency.  Constipation and bloating occur in Thiamine B1 deficiency and magnesium deficiency.   Has your daughter been checked for nutritional deficiencies?

@GardeningForHealth, About that study... The scientists were testing how well different gluten detection tests were at detecting gluten in different kinds of food products.   The scientists knew the meat had gluten in it already.  They "spiked" the samples. "...we selected a set of 32 samples (Table 2) to represent a wide range of grains and gluten concentrations and to encompass a wide range of food matrices. All the samples had previously tested at levels of between 5–1000 ppm gluten by the RIDASCREEN® Gliadin kit or the RIDASCREEN® FAST Gliadin kit, except for the raw meat sample which was previously tested to contain more than 1000 ppm gluten but was chosen to include a meat matrix. Samples were processed to provide a relatively uniform distribution of sample material prior to extraction. Raw meat was blended using a Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus® processor (Model DLC-2A)."
