I live in Dallas and can find the Betty Crocker gluten-free cake or brownie mixes everywhere but my SIL who lives in Toronto cannot. Any Canadians/Torontonians out there know if these are available up north?

No they are not. I emailed Betty Crocker and they told me they are not available up here. They also said they do not have any plans to make them available in the near future. They did pass along my comments so maybe encourage your sister to send them an email! The more comments they get maybe they will hurry up!

Even MORE irritating is that I believe these are made in Canada as they are certified Kosher by some group in Canada (from their FAQ's)

Now that made me grumpy.

I live in Burlington and found a fantastic gluten-free brownie/chocolate cake mix called Judy's Magic Mixes. The cookies are cakes are really good. Theier website is Open Original Shared Link (I am not affiliated with them at all, so hopefully this is OK to post the URL!)

Thank you for direction.  Eating out is a concern though we rarely do, but I'm prepared now.

This might be helpful to you at this point:

Thank you for the update.  So interesting to know how things are changing, when I was diagnosed I had very similar blood results but still had to have the endoscopy.  Glad you know where you stand.  As your father has celiac disease you probably already know a lot about it, but do contact us if we can help further.

But isn't it easier to just take a D3 supplement? Is the D light somehow a superior source? Links?

So the way it should be used is to take it before possible gluten exposure, so right before a meal at a restaurant take 1-2 capsules. Unfortunately taking it 1 hour or more after an exposure is too late.
