My Gut Is Killing Me

Another newbie question,

I've been gluten free now for about 3-4 weeks and did not feel much better until early this week when I started to feel very good again. I have lost alot of weight in the past 3 months and finally I was starting to eat better, around 2000 cals/day and more protein, (bms getting back to normal). Today I woke up, had my usual ensure and a couple hours later my gut started hurting, needless to say I hav'nt eaten since (9 hours) and my gut is still killing me. I am pretty sure I have not been glutened in the past 24 hrs. I am curious if this is common for people starting the gluten-free diet, or may it be common for people that are gluten-free a long time. Is my gut still confused? Any answers anyone could give me would be appreciated. By the way, does anyone have any ideas what foods I may be able to tolerate until the rot-gut goes away.

Does Ensure have dairy in it? Lactose intolerance is common in Celiacs

The ensure may also have soy which is another protein we are also sometimes sensitive to.

@CeliacPsycho246, You might try cutting out dairy.  Some of us react to Casein, the protein in dairy, the same as to gluten.

Yep, the edit window times out very quickly. It's okay. I got a good laugh out of it.

I wrote that by mistake and there is no where I can edit this.

I hope you meant "pen pal" instead of "paypal".
