Bard's Tale Beer Rocks!

I suppose I just thought that beer was never going to be something I ever tasted again when I was diagnosed.....I'm sure a lot of you have tried Bard's Tale Beer, but until today I hadn't! I didn't even know about it until last week! We live in a small town so we have to drive an hour and a half to find most gluten-free products. I had today off so I took the trip and visited the health food store and stopped by the liquor store on the way out of town. I didn't have high expectations for Bard's Tale.....(made with sorgum and not barley)....I was just hoping for something that resembled beer. It was GREAT!! Even my husband (non-celiac beer drinker) thought it was good. He even said he would drink it if it didn't cost $10 for a 6 pack! One of the few gluten-free products that I have found that really, truely taste like the original! My compliments to the brewers! Well...I think I'm going to go have a beer! Hehehehe

I have 5 Bard's in the fridge that I won't drink. 30 minutes after having one last night I got sick. Today the brain fog is back. I guess sorghum isn't for me.

I just found some of these at a local store last night, and it's AMAZING. Tastes very similar to how I remember Guiness tasting before I knew I was celiac...

I am not taking anything except for the multivitamins that I purchased from the supermarket.

The critic acid and sodium citrate is corn unfortunately and they don’t have to label corn because it’s not part of the top 9 allergen and not mandatory 😭

Yaya, from the JAMA study you refer to: "Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity." No one on this forum is recommending  taking anywhere near that amount. We're talking about 5-10,000IU daily.

"Doses higher than the RDA are sometimes used to treat medical problems such as vitamin D deficiency, but these are given only under the care of a doctor for a specified time frame. Blood levels should be monitored while someone is taking high doses of vitamin D." Quoted from the Healthline article @Yaya linked above...
