in february i was admitted to hospital after being unable to eat for 4 days and put on a drip to save my life. i was sick for 6 months prior to that and couldnt work. i found out im celiac and have started to recover after going gluten free. its been 2 and a half months and im still having days where i dont get out of bed because of the pain. some days however im really good. being in bed so much is making me soooo depressed! how have other people gotten through this? has anyone else suffered like i have? please help :(

I think if you read irshheart's posts you will find some pretty severe suffering there. I am sorry you are going through such suffering too. I hope that you are having more good days than bad as time goes by. :)

hello! im sorry to hear you are not feeling well. i hope you are able to see small gains that give you hope! gotta have hope!

when i was not working and laying on the couch all day recovering, i tivo'd the entire series of 'ugly betty'. it was light, entertaining and made me laugh. maybe you can find something similar to bring a smile to the time that you must be resting. i know having 'down time' can be stressful, in it's own way. maybe try to make the best of it- knowing you are doing your best in the moment to take care of yourself and get well.

very best to you! hang in there!

I am not taking anything except for the multivitamins that I purchased from the supermarket.

The critic acid and sodium citrate is corn unfortunately and they don’t have to label corn because it’s not part of the top 9 allergen and not mandatory 😭

Yaya, from the JAMA study you refer to: "Taking 60,000 international units (IU) a day of vitamin D for several months has been shown to cause toxicity." No one on this forum is recommending  taking anywhere near that amount. We're talking about 5-10,000IU daily.

"Doses higher than the RDA are sometimes used to treat medical problems such as vitamin D deficiency, but these are given only under the care of a doctor for a specified time frame. Blood levels should be monitored while someone is taking high doses of vitamin D." Quoted from the Healthline article @Yaya linked above...
