Cheaper Products, More Gluten?

Is it possible that cheaper products have more gluten? I ask because we had a cheapy lasagne last night which made my daughter very ill. We normally have lasagne but I don't recall a reaction like this one. Around bed time she was dizzy, headache, hot to the touch and not feeling too good. Just to say, she's been told to stay on gluten until biopsy.

Was she gluten-free for a while? Many of us notice an increase in sensitivity going back on gluten. I hope she feels better soon!

      You can search this site for prescriptions medications, but will need to know the manufacturer/maker if there is more than one, especially if you use a generic version of the medication: To see the ingredients you will need to click on the correct version of the medication and maker in the results, then scroll down to "Ingredients and Appearance" and click it, and then look at "Inactive Ingredients," as any gluten ingredients would likely appear there, rather than in the Active Ingredients area. https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/

      One positive blood test result means you likely have celiac disease, but to confirm it they may want to do an endoscopy to verify it with biopsies. Unless you have severe symptoms now, you likely should continue eating gluten daily until all testing is completed, and should eat tons of gluten daily in the 2 weeks before an endoscopy.

      Be sure to look at the inactive ingredients, as it might still be naturally gluten-free.
