Celiac Haiku of the Day

So I saw this website called CELIAC BITES (love THAT name!) and the guy posted this Celiac Haiku and I thought some of you guys would find it clever and perhaps wish to compose one of your own. (Maybe it's just the English Prof. in me? )

You know the format--

1st line 5 syllables

2nd line 7 syllables

3rd line 5 syllables

The Essence of Celiac Happiness is Haiku

I just thought it was clever....okay, then never mind. wow...now, I feel like a dope.

No! No! Sorry! That was a rather abrupt post. My son was trying to explain in minute detail a fix he had made on his car, with hand gestures. I'm supposed to look like I understand it. But I am glad when a teenager wants to talk to his mom.

I thought you might like to see our previous attempts. We should do ones about Celiac!

I like Haikus because they are short!

I will ruminate on one about gluten & be back later.

I saw a similar thread on a literature site I use to frequent, but they took the last line of the previous poem to make as their first. That might be fun I'll try.

I'll settle for rice

But not the Krispies with malt

because they "pop" wrong.

Shaky, legs tingle, brain fog

Whole foods every day,

No more joint or muscle pain,

I am happier.

This one has nothing to do with celiac, but my one year old just stood up too fast under the table and bumped his head HARD!
